Default Dukes of Hazzard to the big screen and a poll

The 80's are back. The Dukes Of Hazzard movie will be made next year and in theaters.
Johnny Knoxuni as Luke Duke
Seann Williams as Bo Duke
Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke
Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg
Willie Nelson as Uncle Jessie.

Few other players also go to yhaoo new movies to get more details. They were going to have Jessica Beail from 76th Heaven and The remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacr to play Daisy, but I can';t beleive they picked Jessic Simpson she'll think that catfish will be cats swimming in the pond. This is going to be a flop or mabe not a flop, but she can act what are the thinking,I hope she don't sing,The other Jessical would have been way better.Willie Nelson shoul play a good part of Uncle Jessie.I don't know the two main stars as Bo or Luke though.Burt Reynolds as Boss???? We will have to see,I think he is geting old to play the part of Boss, but I hop he plays the bad villion part good.I love Dukes Of Hazzard and mabe finally we will get to see The Dukes up close and big where they should be.

Miame Vice is also going to be made into a theater movie.details on yahoo or up coming movies.

Which movies would you like to be re made in the 21 century.

Grease

The God father

Xanadu

Rocky

Night Gallery

Friday The 13th

It

Flash Dance

Foot Loose

Fast Times At Ridgemont Hih

None of the above -sorry

Not a fan of remakes here. I'd rather see something original instead

Xanadu should be remade. But none of the rest. I doubt The Godfather will ever be remade- it's got too much of a following and most people see it as perfect already.

However, I think there's an IT remake being planned (for the big screen this time). Also, ages ago a Footloose remake was announced- with it being made as a musical (though not an adaptation of the stageshow Footloose:The Musical)- but nothing's been heard from that project in ages now.

The only film on that list they'll remake will be "Friday The 13th."
It's inevitable.

If they ever remake "Godfather" I swear to God I will not be responsible for my actions!

I wouldn't mind seeing a remake of Grease - one that was truer to the stage show.

Doubt it'll happen, but it might.

NO!!!!

They can't do that! First of all, the book is wayyyy to long for a two hour movie - they just barely managed to condense it into a miniseries. And Tim Curry IS PENNYWISE. Plus John Ritter and Jonathan Brandis - both gave great performances, and died within a month of each other.

Do you remember the talk of a remake of Rocky Horror? Yeah, that one didn't get too far.

Also, Rosemary's Baby is being remade as a miniseries along with 'Son of Rosemary'! I'd love to see a Son of Rosemary adaptation (preferably on the big screen) but there's no need for a Rosemary's Baby remake!

I remember the Rocky Horror remake talk- I don't think that whoever was responsible for that idea at FOX thought about it for long before announcing it. There was even talk of Frank'n'Furter being updated to being a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon- and Richard O'Brien writing an additional number. It sounded really bizaare- and the original probably will never be topped- but I have to admit I was very intrigued by the idea.

They're also remaking Pride and Prejudice. Again.

When there's already a flawless version out there that is not even ten years old, there is absolutely no point to remaking. Have they learned nothing from Vanity Fair?

Remaking Rosemary's Baby? Oh COME ON, people! Are the big-wigs out there that short on ideas? The original was so brilliant - very much from the time period, but it's very fitting. Even has Sharon Tate in a small part. Brilliant Polanski.

I guess I can kind of undertand remaking it if they're planning on using the same actors for the 'Son of Rosemary.' I haven't read the book yet, but I've been meaning to. I adore Ira Levin. I read the Stepford Wives in like three hours. The man's a genius - albeit a disturbed one - but a genius none the less!
