"Yellow Submarine" sdtk. error

On the current Yellow Submarine soundtrack CD< the Beatles song "Nowhere Man" isn't on. What's the deal here? It was in the movie.

Side one of the original Yellow Submarine soundtrack album only included the title track, "All You Need Is Love" and the four Beatles songs that, up to that point, were unreleased ("Hey Bulldog," "All Together Now," "Only A Northern Song" and "It's all Too Much").

The second side, of course, is George Martin's score from the film.

1999's Yellow Submarine Songtrack, however, does include "Nowhere Man" in a new stereo remix. For more information, click here.

WEEEEEE ALL LIIIIIIVE IN A YELLOW SUBMARINE

The original Yellow Submarine soundtrack album, with the score and the four previously released songs plus "Yellow Submarine" itself and "All You Need Is Love," came out in January 1969, six months after the movie's British release and less than two months after its American release (timed with the 1968 Thanksgiving/Christmas movie season). The 1999 Yellow Submarine Songtrack album features all the songs from the movie, all remastered.

The U.K. version of the original 1969 soundtrack album features a reprint of Tony Palmer's review of the White Album from the London Observer on the back cover. The U.S. version features, on the back, liner notes from Capitol executive Dan Davis that describe the plot of the movie in a clownish ripoff of John Lennon's style of prose.

(Note: All the original Beatles U.K. theatrical movie soundtrack albums open with the title song at the beginning of side one, with a previously released single ["Can't Buy Me Love," "Ticket To Ride," "All You Need Is Love"] at the end of side one.)
