They should have kicked Alice off the show and renamed this, "Mel's Diner". Alice was a boring lead character and a miss goody 2 shoes. The supporting cast was excellent.

True, very true. It could have went the way of Valerie, which later became the Hogan Family. I think Alice was needed to play the straight character. I think Vic Tayback would have been excellent playing the lead. That would have made the show funnier and more interesting.

Alice annoyed the living hell out of me. She was to damn perfect. She always seem to be the peacemaker.
