"Mama's Family" Wardrobe - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The clothes the characters wore on "Mama's Family" were always the same. Do you know what really bothers me? Vint's pants are the same in every episode. They must STINK! It bothers me so much!!!!!!! Doesn't Vint own anything else? At least Mama has a few different dresses. Naomi wears the same ugly yellow dress everyday, Iola always wears that pink dress, and Bubba always wears those same jeans.

I'm pretty sure Ken Berry (who played Vint) must have had a couple of the same pair of clothes in his waredobe...That way, he could rotate them...Hehe...

Hey, when you're part of a dysfunctional family not making a lot of money, you have to look the part.

Actually Naomi had a very extensive wardrobe. Which was usually off the shoulder and yellow! Maybe that's why it looked like she wore the same thing. But she didn't! And Iola wore at least 5 or 6 different dresses in pink.

I always thought that Vint had on the same kind of pants because it was part of his uniform for work. Mabye he has like 20 uniforms because some jobs do. they give you a lot of the same kind of uniform so you will always have a clean one. That is what he would have to do because Naomi is not picking up an iron

just a thought.

Still like what Beverly Archer said a few years after the show was off the air when she was interviewed. She said one thing I never want to see as long as I live is the color pink, I wore it so much on Mama's family it makes me sick to see it.

I also noticed they usually each had a color they liked.

Mama it was mostly blue, but she did have other colors
Vint had beig(spelling)
Naomi has yellow
Iola had pink
Bubba had green
