This episode was strange. Actually, it didn't make sense. This was on season 3 I believe. James went for an interview for a salesmen job. Florida went with him. Florida ended up getting hired because she was a black woman. James was left out in the cold. Later in the episode, James threw a fit at everyone, and then finally Florida told him she was laid off. This was I believe 4 days after she was hired. The reason being because sales were slow. 4 days?! Why hire her if they knew sales were slow? I would think it would take longer than that to realize that business was slow, they wouldn't need her. I use to work in sales, and we wouldn't have hired anyone if we weren't doing business. If we did, we wouldn't let them go after 4 days of them being hired. Again, the writing was inconsistant and they could have used a better excuse for letting her go.

It was a season 2 episode. It was odd that james was upset at Florida for working at the store when he was the one took her to the interview in the first place and then told her to take the job.

Maybe she quit to make James happy and didn't want him to know the real reason her employment there ceased.
