Talking 1970s vs. 1980s Fashions in the Show!

Since the show went from 1977-1984, we've witnessed lots of changes in clothes and hairstyles throughout the years, especially with the girls!
What was your favorite decade in the styles & fashions and describe your favorite clothing or hairstyle from all the girls and guys from the show!

Chrissy- I absolutely loved her clothes! She had such a great sense of style.. I loved everything she wore when she was on the show. I liked her hair golden blond like in seasons 1-3 and light blonde in seasons 4 and part of 5. My favorite hairstyle is when Chrissy has that one ponytail on the side of her head!

Jack- I didn't like his hair in the first couple seasons but I loved it in season 4! IMO, Jack looked his best in season 4. When he wore those tight T-shirts, I melted! Jack's clothes were okay, the only outfit I hated was the one in "Jack's Ten"

Larry- IMO, he looked his best in the later seasons. I like his hair longer than shorter (like in the first couple seasons) His clothes were similar to Jack's, so I liked them

Mr.Furley- Haha where do I begin?! His outfits freaked me out sometimes, but I can't say I hated them, that's what made him Mr. Furley!

Janet- I never really liked her clothes in the beginning seasons.. as the show kept going her clothes got better. I personally think Janet looked her best in season 7! Her clothes were really nice and her hair was soo pretty! I liked her clothes and hair in season 8 too, but she looked different since she got a nosejob or whatever she did.

Mr.Roper- His hair and clothes were always the same so I guess they were okay.. his clothes were kinda boring but I don't really think he cared about his appearance

Terri- I loved Terri's clothes and hair! Her clothes were soo nice and I just loved them! Terri's hair always looked nice, but my favorite hairstyle is when she has it down or a part of it in a ponytail

Mrs.Roper- Just like RF, her clothes are what made her Mrs. Roper, so I can't complain!

Cindy- I loved Cindy's hair, it was such a nice shade of blonde. I liked all Cindy's clothes on the show

The most notable change in fashion was Janet. After she got rid of that god awful perm she began wearing better clothes. When her hair grew long in season 6 throughout the remaining run of the show she wore more sexier clothes. Also, the character of Janet became more freed up and not so controlling with the plain Jane look. Joyce DeWitt is an attractive actress but it was the look they gave for the character of Janet during the first three seasons that gave her that plain Jane look.

Though I'm an 80's kinda guy, I actually prefer the hippy-style of the 70's... everything was more subdued... especially the make-up. The 80's style was too harsh... Chrissy's make up and almost white blonde hair!

I like Jack's hair in Season 4 too. It was longer and a little lighter colored. He looked good in the brown pants and vest.

Janet looked very matronly the first few seasons. The tight jeans looked good in Season 4, but she wore too much make-up. I think her hair was too short in Season 6. Overall, she looked best in Season 7.

I liked Chrissy with the side ponytail too.

Terri always looked good.

I think that Jack looked his best in season 4 too. I like his hair longer. He looked so nice! As far as his clothes go, they are great no matter what season it is. Jack always looks nice to me.

I think Janet looked her best in season 4 as well. I didn't really like her clothes in the first three seasons. I liked her hair short, she looked very nice. When her hair started getting longer, it looked nice too, but I liked her with shorter hair better.

Chrissy was awesome! Her side ponytails were great! She had awesome clothes too. She's so funny!

Terri's hair was very pretty. I liked all of the different things she did with it. I also think she dressed very nice.

Mr. Furley was hilarious!!! Those loud outfits and outrageous clothes had me
