UPDATE: Desiree Dawn Lingo Perkins has been caught!
I just read that Desiree Dawn Lingo-Perkins has been captured. UM profiled her in 2001.

The victim, a Texas teenager, was the son of manufacturing businessman Kevin McElroy. http://www.kltv.com/Global/story.asp?S=2414226 The KLTV link above features the following October 11, 2004 article (which is a very concise article): WOMAN ACCUSED OF MURDER NOW IN CUSTODY She's been on the run for four years. Now the woman accused of kidnapping and killing a Troup teen has been caught. The FBI says Desiree Dawn Lingo-Perkins, now in her mid-30s, was captured at the Texas-Mexico border Thursday. Lingo-Perkins will be charged with capital murder in the March 2000 abduction and murder of then 18 year old Kyle McElroy. Along with three other men, authorities say Lingo-Perkins tried to extort money from McElroy's family before the killing. Those men are now in prison. |
