Yep! As you all know that I turned the big 3-0!! My family and friends say that in your teens and twenties, you get out of your "rebellous" stage. And this is going to shock a lot of you, but at 24 years old, I felt like I was going through a "mid-life" crisis for fears of turning "old". I always dreaded turning the big 3-0. I wanted so badly to stay in my twenties.
But now I am glad that I am thirty. And people come up and say to me that the thirties and even forties will get even better. That you know more than you used to. I mean sure you want to go back and undo the things that sadly can't be undone. But I am glad that I am now thirty and will be for the next decade. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks and God bless! |

That's great advice, EIF.
Another good thing to remember is that 30 is just a number...You can be 30 and still be a kid at heart, or you can feel sorry for yourself because you're getting older. I'd rather be 30 and still be a kid at heart. I'm ten months from turning 20 and I'm looking forward to it...I can't wait to see what my life has for me once I reach my twenties.

my mom would feel the exact opposite of you, but it's good you're enjoying your thirties
it's a great age to be, because you start to know more than before, and you mature a bit too.

I'm always glad to hear that people enjoy their 30s... because being in your 30s is not old! I'm glad to be in my 20s now, but once I reach my 30s, It'll be great. In my 30s I want to get married, have kids, have a career, all that jazz. No matter what people do in their 30s, I hope they can look at it as a good decade. I know not all do, but they should!

30 isn't old. You're young and have the joys of having an independent life.
And I only have to wait hmmm 1,2,.....16 more years

Let us rejoice. I'm not going to worry about my age until I'm...old...er. But whatever, you're old if you want to be. |

It really is just a number, I thought I would feel different when I turned 21 and I didn't. I dreaded turning 30, but now it's not so bad, but let me get back to you when I turn 40

I remember how much I was freaking out when I turned 20, but you know what, life goes on. Really. I have to say, I've really enjoyed every age - and every year it gets better and better. You learn more and you become more independent. I'm 22 now, and I'm very happy with that. 30 isn't old at all, it's just one year past 29

People generally glow in the dark when they're only 22. That glow tends to become more of an effort or, worse yet, an illusion or unattainable memory after the years pass. Sorry about the reality check you all. Hope I didn't ruin anyones grandiose plans for the future. |
