Default online dating

what's your opinion of online dating, and having internet relationships? i personally think its wrong. you never know who you might be talking to, and plus you're forming crushes based on words on a screen.

Who's to think about?
The brighter I shine, the darker my shadows.
And they pull me behind, as I let off the pedal.
Why should I divide what feels so right?
Is this where I want to lay?

My brother has used it, and he got himself a nice date. Another cousin of mind did it, and met his future wife. But of the options provided, I don't give a damn.

I don't see why you have to be "desperate" to use it. Some people are too busy to maybe waste time going to go "clubbin" or whatever and try to meet people. It's really no different than looking at the personal ads in a local paper.

I never gave it much thought, but a good friend of mine met his fiance through the Yahoo personals, so I guess it must work.

i've liked people on the internet. go on everyone and whine and cry about how that's impossible because i've never seen them and that i'm desperate and have no life because of it.

No matter how often you talk to someone online you really don't know the person that you are talking to. In fact, the person you are talking to may not be the person they claim to be. Though I say that my name is Mike and that I was born on August 5, 1976, no one here knows if that is true or if I'm lying about myself. Some one may gone unline and strike up a conversation with a girl or a guy who claims to be 25 but is really 12! Online dating is to risky in my opinion. A 15 year old girl could strike up a relationship with someone online that claims to be a 15 year old boy but is really some 50 year old pervert. I am totally anti-online dating.

Default Met My Boyfriend Through Dating Service

I met my significant other through a dating service and we are still together and very much in love. It will make 10 years on March 31, 2005 and it made 3 years beginning of July that we have been living together.

the same can be said for the offline world as well; you have to be careful trusting anyone you don't know, and while i wouldn't advocate intentionally persuing it, i believe that it IS possible to form a substantional relationship with someone online.
