One bit of misinformation is when the book describes the UFO episode. The book claims that an air force captain is the one investigating the UFO Peter and Bobby see. Actualy the captain investigaing is a police captain.

Boy,that's for sure.The book could have been edited by a fan of the Brady Bunch who looks back on the show more fondly than the stars do,and it would have been much more accurate.

Thanks for the support Richard and I mean that.Coudn't have said it better myself. This book is mistake after mistake in versions old and new!I'm surprised no original Brady cast members have spoken out against this rather misinformative and rather untrustworthy Growing Up Brady book.

Nope, its an air force captain....and i know im 6 years too late, 7 years this year.

I think the poster is referring to the man who comes to the Brady house and the Bradys are expecting someone from the air force to visit them. Mike answers the door and is shocked to see a policeman. The policeman than states sarcastically (or rather annoyingly) how the air force refers all calls regarding supposed UFO's to the police station.

The other thing that bothered me about the book is the typos and poor grammar. Didn't anyone read it before sending it to print?

At the very least, the other cast members should have had a chance for input and corrections.

Yes,

The first printing of 1992 was believed to have 30-50 mistakes in the episode guide ALONE! Subsequent editions corrected some errors, but many remain, even to this day. How can one even be sure that the chapters in the book are accurate with the severe misinformation on the episode guide?

A better reference, and much more accurate book is Elizabeth Moran's Bradymania.

I don't care about the errors. I like to know how Barry Williams remembers it. It's more interesting. It's more of a memoir than a reference book.
