Red face Would you do your step-sister?

When I first watched this show and realized that the boys and girls were only related by marriage, I wondered why Greg didn't sleep around with Marsha. I thought it was natural for step-siblings to sleep together from watching soaps and from a friend of mine who slept with his step-sister. Later on I found out the show was done in the 60's-70's so of course they weren't going to do that. I wonder if they made a show like the Brady Bunch today would they include sexual experience between step-siblings (no not like Step By Step, they didn't like each other and didn't have age similar opposites. I think they did that to avoid the step incest issue.)
Anyway my question is if you were in a similar situation as Greg or Marsha, wouldn't you have done your step-sibling? I know I would have.

It's understandable why it's sick and taboo to sleep with your half or full-sibling, but you aren't related to your step sibling except by law.

Most people will build a relationship with a step-sibling that, in time, becomes indistinguishable from a relationship with a sibling.

Woody Allen married his step-daughter and got a lot of well-deserved flack for it. But he didn't commit an illegal act, only an immoral one.

Like being immoral has stopped anyone before?
Seriously I'm thinking you are a teen, really horny all the time when all of a sudden your dad marries a woman with 3 girls, one of them really cute and almost your age. It's the 70's, no really big diseases out there, you can get your hands on condoms, and you got yourself a copy of one of the recent how to sex books. She's there all the time, being friendly, dresses down cause she home, see her in her nightgown even, might even accidently walk in on her while she's in the shower.

Actually, yes. It stops many people quite often.

Perhaps the next step along this path would be "doing" your sister. How would you feel about that? Assume for the purposes of this question, that she is atrractive, you have condoms available, and the uncurable STD's have not yet been identified. How would you feel about this? If you wouldn't go for this, please tell us what it is that would stop you.

And try to understand, that to some of us, the two scenarios are identical.

Why yes I was an extremely horny teenager. Like I said beforehand I had a friend whose dad had gotten remarried and the woman he married had 2 daughters, one about a year older than my friend. He found her extremely attractive, so we would talk about it and we came up with they aren't real siblings, not in the biological sense, only siblings by law, so what the problem? Say for a moment the 2 had been dating before their parents met and the parents got married because they met because of their kids, would it be right for the kids to stop dating because of it? Or say the kids had been older enough to have gotten married, at the wedding their parents met and got married, would that be wrong? Why?
Seriously we got into long hours on this discussion, we also hit on soap operas where step-siblings slept together, Brady bunch and why incest is a taboo. Incest is a taboo because you don't want to get a genetically defective baby, so there's no real chance of that with step, and besides he would use condoms.

Thumbs down

I personally have no problem with this concept, but would advise against it, if the two were living together. There's a reason why colleges generally don't allow men and women to share dorm rooms. The reason generally is because of potential problems or a break up could occur, and the two could be stuck rooming together for an entire semester or an entire year, which could be very awkward. If the step brother and step sister get involved emotionally and physically, and problems develop in the relationship, they are stuck under the same roof for an undetermined amount of time. Even if they go off to different colleges, they'll have to see each other during the holidays, and you know how awkward being around an ex can be.

I can't see anything wrong with the fact a
woman and man dating and marrying before say
their parents. It is then on their parents.
I actually knew a guy that married a woman
that he had been dateing for about 2 years.
His dad finally met her mom after they had dated
and then fell in love and married. What I was thinking was a stepsister and stepbrother
who grew up together should not have any desires for each other. I guess I felt like that is what you were thinking. My stepbrothers are so much like real brothers and that is what I was thinking when you were
talking. I kept thinking, there is no way I could think of them in a sexual way. I thought, thank God I came from a normal home.
In the cases that you mentioned is diffrent,
but the Brady Bunch case is still sick because even though they were not babies when their parents were married, it is not right because they kind of did grow up together.
Take care!

Yeah and some people who grew up with each other do get married together when they become adults, such as childhood sweethearts.

DantaFire (Member),

What is your problem? This isn't a topic to bring-up while discussing THE BRADY BUNCH. You are one sick puppy.

Cool

DanteFire, with an "E".
Why not discuss it here? My question was originally if you were in a situation such as Marsha or Greg would you have gone after your step-sibling.
Defining incest- Sexual intercourse between persons so closely related that marriage between them is forbidden by law or taboo.
Defining taboo- A religious or social interdict forbidding the mention of a certain person, thing or place, the performance of a certain action.
Is marriage between step-siblings forbidden? I know of no such law. There probably are some. Is it really a taboo? It could be, but
I already do things that are considered by some as taboo. Such as I date outside my race and religion, never been married but have had sex, I have been in 3somes and one 4some, I have been with girls before I was 18, I openly talk about sex, I'm bi-curious, I've eaten meat on fridays, I wear white after labor day, I've had sex in a church, in a cemetery, in a sinagard(sp), done anal and oral, whistled at night, gone outside my house nude (accidently), sex in public places, etc. I list some of these to see if you have done any of these, because almost anything out there is considered a taboo by someone else. I been told that at certain days jewish people can't have sex nor touch each other.
So I do not think there is anything wrong about step-siblings having sex.
Can you define why you think it's wrong, other that it's wrong?

Dantesfire,

This is a nasty subject to discuss on THE BRADY BUNCH MESSAGE DISCUSSION BOARD FORUM.

I am a Christian 'Methodist.'

How old are you? I was born on June 13, 1972 in Texas, USA.

I think you are very preverted. I think you should stick with Websites that contain Mature Subject Matter.

You are definitely a preverted person.

What kind of upbring did you have?
