Redd Foxx's Ghost - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Shortly after Redd Foxx died, an evening news show did a piece on how some think the ghost of Redd Foxx haunted his former home. I think the news show was 'A Current Affair' with Maury Povich as the host. I don't recall many details. I remember it showing the sink of the home which was covered with burns from unattended cigarettes. Has anyone else ever heard of Redd Foxx haunting a former home?

::Raises her hand::: Yes, I've heard of that one too. I saw a show on the Travel channel which said that an Elvis Impersonator had bought the home. He claimed several strange things happened in the house and he was told it was Redd Foxx. His brother wouldn't stay at the house after staying one night and he eventually sold the house. At the time of this show, the house had been turned into a business. They said that doors would open and close and they could hear footsteps as well as the electircity playing up sometimes. Nice halloween story, huh?

Funny Danisel, I didn't even make the Halloween connection when I made the post. I saw an image of the house. It looks quite unimpressive. I thought Redd would have had something more large and lavish. Here is the image.[br]

Perhaps this is where he lived after the IRS seized everything? He may have had a more ritzy place prior.

Well, you know how things can get turned around, but they said on the show that this was the house seized by the IRS and that he had never gotten over losing that house. That's supposed to be why he's still there. They said it had been fixed up a bit more when he had it, but it ran down quite a bit. I was a little surprised too though that was his house.

I wonder if he's haunting Demond Wilson's home these days - chanting "dummy, dummy" like he did in the nursing home episode!!

Just by the picture alone, it appears to be along Rawhide St in Las Vegas, NV.
