Sad My mother passed away.

So I finally get the phone call no one wants to get. My brother left a message to call him as soon as possible last night, so I call him and ask what's up.

What's up, indeed.

He tells me that yesterday before noon my mother passed away in her sleep in a nursing home. She would have been 62 this month. I felt numb, shocked, even disappointed that I didn't have
a chance to tell her about my kitties. It seems so strange that two months ago she was doing okay with her home improvement things, what she liked to do most. It's like you expect it to happen, but I didn't think (and didn't wish) it would happen so soon.

So last Friday was my last day to see her. It was so hard to see her so ill and frail. You regret you don't get a chance to tell her things you had all your life to tell her.

Who's to think about?

And they pull me behind, as I let off the pedal.
Why should I divide what feels so right?
Is this where I want to lay?

Sorry Greg.
My Dad died a year ago almost to the day. My mom just had a cancer scare and had to have surgery. So I'm battling with the 'no more mom and dad' blues myself.

I was just recently sort of forced into a major conversation with my mom about something. I don't know if we resolved anything but it seemed to bring us closer together that we both dealt with it. I guess maybe the 'dealing with' is maybe more important than the outcome of dealing with issues when it comes to families.

Sorry about the middle of the night call, Greg. I know how that one feels.

Sad So sorry

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Your mother isn't suffering anymore.

My thoughts are with you. Life is difficult without a mother especially at a young age.

There's no love like a mother's love.

I've already spoken to you- but I want to take this opportunity to again tell you how profoundly sorry I am, Greg. Remember, we all love you here and will be here if you want to talk.

I am so sorry Cpt. I know exactly what you're feeling because I too lost my mother seven monts ago, you and your family have my deepest sympathies

I am very very sorry and I understand and realize that no "I am sorry" or "you're in my thoughts and prayers" can possibly make up for the fact that your mother is no longer a part of this life and knowing you're never going to see her again until you're dead. It is something that completely sucks and I hope you'll be able to deal as painlessly as you possibly can.
