Default Gary Coleman should have guest-starred

He should have appeared as Webster's main homeboy. Gary seems to have animosity towards Emmanuel in real life anyway. He got a chip on his shoulder. Anyway, would this have worked?

I know Gary appeared on Silver Spoons.

Incidentally, when Diff'rent Strokes moved from NBC to ABC in that's show's last season, it was also crashing in on Webster's turf as well!

So that could partly explain the animosity as well!

It wouldn;t have worked because Webster was in Chicago and DS was in New York City

I don't remember what this was on but I swear that somewhere I saw a couple of pictures from back in the day of Gary and Emmanuel together.

Well they probably were together at certain public events but Gary Coleman was defintely not on Webster as a Guest. Only Silver Spoons

From the interviews I've seen, I don't think Gary was an Emmanuel Lewis fan. He looks at him as a carbon copy of himself...especially his show. Gary needs to get that chip off his shoulder. Emamanuel Lewis was just doing a job he was being paid to do. Yeah, it was a clone, so was Jeannie to Bewitched, but that's Hollywood, that's the way the business is.

And I think another reason why Gary Coleman had such animosity towards Emmanuel Lewis is b/c Emmanuel didn't have any major catchphrases to work w/ on his show that Gary Coleman did.

As soon as Gary Coleman first opened his mouth and spewed out those words: "Whatcha talkin' bout, Willis?", it would probabvly haunt him for the rest of his life!

That's my take. I dunno.

Webster had that signature giggle. It wasn't part of pop culture, but it was his.

i they also did a talk show together about 10 years . ago and what was werid about the whole show was that it was liked they switched personalties backstage i mean during the show gary who has always had the rep for being somewhat surly during interviews was very affable laughing joking around and even said whatutalkinabout when an audience member asked him to . emmanuel on the other hand must have been having a bad day because despite his happy sunny rep durning the interview that day he was very curt and downright rude wich is very unusial for him
