In which greater Columbus suburb did the Keaton family reside?

I don't believe they ever specifically mentioned what suburb they lived in any episode, but as a follow-up here is a message I recently received:
--------------- Hi, I'm from Marion, Ohio, about 30 minutes from Columbus. I always thought the show was based in Marion b/c they used names like Harding High and St.Mary's schools in their shows. There are no schools by that name in Columbus, only Marion. They also use the names of several different parks from Marion too. If you know any of this information I would appreciate it if you would e-mail me. Thanks, mark |

I was recently at the "Book Loft" in German Village (just south of downtown Columbus) and came across a book about 80's sitcoms. In it, it explained that Mallory used to like to shop at the Lazarus in City Center Mall, in downtown Columbus. Also, just a few blocks down from the "Book Loft" is the very first Max & Erma's restaurant. On the walls, is a picture of Elyse wearing a Max & Erma's apron in one of the episodes. I always assumed they lived in German Village....but who knows.

My guess is Worthington or Upper Arlington, but I am also trying to find out the answer to this question. I have seen the Max & Ermas photo also.
