Samantha's witchcraft could shower Darrin with gifts, give him memories of trips he didn't take, and even turn back the hands of time, but for some strange reason, it didn't seem able to heal his sprained ankle. For that matter, why couldn't she just turn back time prior to his falling?

But, I know I'm overanalyzing it. The episode is still one of the best.

Darrin never wanted witchcraft to help him out. It was only when the situation was so out of hand there was no other alternative.

Could someone please tell me what an "aardvark" has to do with Darrin's injury? Maybe my memory needs refreshing!

i was wondering that too! and i agree...this is a bizarre episode. nothing quite works. and although i loved to watch it, it's VERY out of character for samantha to cry like that.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series. It also shows that it's not just Darrin forcing Samantha to quit using her witchcraft. It's a 50/50 decision.

I found the scene where Samantha cries to be very touching. This is just one of the episodes that proves to me that Dick York is the only Darrin (even if there are 2).

IMO this is the best episode of the series.

Also, in act 2 Larry says something about wondering why Darrin is able to walk again, which suggests that maybe Samantha did cure his sprained ankle.
