Default Epilepsy

earlier today in an introduction to art class I was taking, a girl suddenly fell and had an epileptic seizure about 10 minutes in. It is the first time I've ever witnessed such a happening and it seriously scared the living hell out of me. I know the girl slightly. Class was dismissed early, but still, that REALLY freaked me out.

Anyone else witnessed something like this, or had one?

In high school, I hung out with a girl who I knew had epilespy only because she told me. I never witnessed her having a seizure, though.

No, I haven't. A girl in my grade in high school had epileptic seizures, and she would have them in her classes sometimes--I never had any classes with her though. I felt bad for her--she could walk just fine, but because she had a history of hitting her head during seizures, she was made to use a wheelchair most of the time to prevent her from falling hard.

A girl I know had em all the time. She was in a band, and I went to see them, she had one right there on the stage. It was scary

A few people I know have it. They can't play sports, and if they have a seizure, they can't drive again for 6th months.

No, never seen one. Though 2 of my dogs get them. Nutmeg used to get them really bad if she had to go to the vet. Once, she didnt even make it to the door.. she fell to the sidewalk and had a really bad one. I wasnt there, but my Dad was and he said she almost died.. the vet had to run out and give her valium. She had another one once too when she got loose one night and had it next door.. she threw herself in a puddle and had a seizure. She only gets them when she gets loose and is around other dogs, or when she had to go to the vet. Shes fine now though since we get house call and prevent these kind of situations.

Taco gets seizures too, except his are really mild. He cant walk and he'll just shake for about 5-10 min. Ive seen him have one a few times, and even though theyre really tame it still freaks me out and I cant look. Hes on medication for it though since his are random and arent induced by events.

My mom's side of the famil has a history of them. One of my uncle's has them, but don't think he's had one for a long time. He could sense when he was going to have one. My mom's had two in her life, and is on medicine. Hasn't had one in a long time. My brother was diagnosed with seizures at the age of 13. It was spooky. He passed away from a seizure at the age of 22. It's been rough, but we're still going strong. There are different types of seizures. The types of seizures my mom, uncle, and brother had were grandmal seizures...very frightening to witness.

I saw a girl have one in the parking lot of the grocery store. Fortunately her mom was with her and got her in the car.

My mom used to have seizures. But she didn't have epilepsy. No one could really explain them. She had a few big ones. One time, she was balancing her checkbook or something on her bed and she started seizing and fell off the bed and fractured her neck. She's only had like 3 big seizures, but she has a lot of little ones, especially around flashing lights and loud noises, where she'll kind of pass out while she's standing up...but she's still conscious. It's weird. But she knows they're seizures because when a person has a seizure, they wet their pants....Yes. But now she's on tons of seizure medication so it doesn't happen again.

My brother has seizures cos he has cerebral palsey. He hasn't had one in awhile, cos he's on medication and stuff, but it's really upsetting to see

And last year in Gym, we were all playing soccer and this one girl just fell to the ground and had a seizure and we were all FREAKING OUT cos we were up on the high field and the teacher was on the low field so we were SCREAMING for her and she came up and they had to call an ambulance and stuff. It was really scary.

But none of them are from epilepsy. I do know a girl with it though.
