I've actually been meaning to post this question for awhile. The 80s are one of my favorite decades for movies - being the huge opera nut that I am, Amadeus is of course my favorite. But there were tons of great films made that deserved there Oscars just as much (well, almost).

Great topic! It was hard for me too, but I chose Terms of Endearment. It was between that and Ordinary People.

The last Emperor.
However that list is no where near the best the 80s had to offer. |

Did anyone know that Shane Rimmer (the voice of Scott Tracy in Thunderbirds) made a cameo in that movie?

Well i love 80's movies but i guess some of the ones i like wouldn't be considered classics or the best picture of the 80's such as Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Stand by Me, Say Anything, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and many many more.
