Question Ken Jennings Jeopardy Question

I was wondering why they have done something that I never seen done before. Instead of announcing how many days Ken Jennings have been on and his cash winnings, they have just announced his cash winnings only. Today is his 50th day on Jeopardy. Why have they done this???

Here is an article from tvgameshows.net:

Quote:
CONFESSIONS OF A KEN JENNINGS VICTIM: JEFF SUCHARD OF "JEOPARDY!"

The man at the left has conquered more than 100 opponents in the most amazing performance in television game show history.

The number of victims could lead Weird Al Yankovic to rewrite his 1984 classic "I Lost on Jeopardy!", and populate a new version with all of the contestants who have lost to Ken Jennings.

Jeff Suchard, whose wife Julie is a former "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" champion, is a toxicologist by trade. He is also one of the few who took Jennings to Final Jeopardy! without the game being mathermatically inconsequential. Jennings was forced to be correct in the finale in order to defeat Suchard. He was.

In the first of a two-part interview, Suchard recalls his showdown with a game show legend who, at the time, was standing at 43 consecutive victories.

Inside the Games with Jeff Suchard of "Jeopardy!"

It is widely believed that they began editing Ken's total out of the episodes once the details of his eventual loss became public knowledge. I won't go into detail, but that information made headlines awhile back, and a lot of people likely decided that it wasn't worth watching anymore if we know for sure what will happen every day. It's speculated that they're no longer telling us how many games he's won so we'll lose track of that information -- thereby bringing back the suspense of "will this be the day?"

Did that make sense? Probably not.

Talking Ken Jennings!!!!!!

OH MY GOD!!!!! KEN JENNINGS IS MY HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless you're from NY you probably didn't see this, but there was an article in the NY Times that said whenever Alex Tribec announces Ken's current winnings, Ken shakes his head. Once Alex asked, "What, you can't believe it or you don't want the money?" LOL!!! Anyhow, Ken is way hot and totally cute!
