Thumbs up

Thelma and Keith probably would have divorced. I think Willona would be married, though. J.J. would probably be married and divorced with custody of his child- little Dyn-O-Mite. Don't know why, but I picture that for some reason. Michael would be in Africa doing charity work and helping people, maybe with the Red Cross, Corps, something like that. If Florida was still alive, she'd be retired, but maybe considering opening a restaurant or shop with friend Willona. They'd still be close.

Thelma and Keith would have been divorced after a year after GT ended. I'm surprised the marriage lasted a season. She had no business marrying that loser. I could see Willona being succesful. Florida probably would have lived comfortable, depending on if James had life insurance. J.J. and Michael would have been on their own.

Michael definately would be working for the betterment of Afrikan people but probably within the city of Chicago. Thelma would try to work out her differences with that husband of hers (what's his name). JJ most likely would have been divorced with a pint sized dy-no-mite son, Florida and Wilona would still be the best of friends and Penny would have joined the marines because those years of beatings her mother laid on her affected her more when she got out of school and she needed outlet.

let's see....

i believe that if keith was still driving the cab and didn't get a FULL TIME position on somebody's football team, thelma would leave him. she could do so much better. SO i'm assuming that keith was shacked up enough time to let his issues heal, he was running all the time (supposedly) so he stayed in pretty good shape, was once a top pick...so let's say he's picked up by a good team making some nice money. if that's the case, thelma ain't going nowhere..they are still together.

keith: playing for the chicago bears. not starting but not warming the bench either. pretty good numbers/stats. still married to thelma, not doing much else.

thelma: didn't make it to law/medical school. ends up being an elementary school teacher in the public school system. works closely with local community centers teaching inner city youth dance and art expression.

michael: no time for dating, trying to make a difference. does end up getting full scholarship to ivy league lawschool. president of a lot of local pro-black organizations and foundations both at college and back in chicago. highly regarded in the black community. ran for local office backed by his community supporters. now holding an official congressional post.

jj: first black art director at a corporate ad agency and has 2 baby mamas. gets sick of working for the man and is burned out. goes back to painting full time and with his new found connections, makes a nice living selling his paintings at galleries and one-man shows around the city.

florida: set up by keith/thelma in a sprawling apartment in DT chicago. babysits JJ's kids and spends the time enjoying the city and her old age.

wologna: owner of the boutique dies and actually leaves the store to wologna. she fixes it up and ultimately sells it for 3x the original profit. sets herself up across the hall from florida and they see eachother and hangout everyday.

penny: her estranged mother reaches out to her to amend the past. she takes the bait, moves to CA with her mother and gets heavily into sex and drugs - living wild. wologna rescues her by bringing her back to Chicago and now she is a counselor working with at risk teens.

bookman: suffered from a fatal heartattack trying to climb to the 24th floor to fix a toilet (elevator wasn't working). while he lay dying, someone robbed him of a popeye's biscuit and $5.67.
