CBS and ABC so far this season have had plenty of hits with big premeires. NBC on the other hand, as I see it only has one hit with Joey. The rest of their new shows have declining ratings since the preimeirs. CBS has their biggest hit with what a surprise CSI:New York. One day I see that network with CSI on each day of the week. ABC since gaining a new network president has gained huge ratings with Lost and Desperate Housewives. Desperate Housewives even had the highest ratings for a series premeire this season. Bigger than CSI:NY.

Last week ABC won in adults 18-49 4.3 to 3.5, a huge margin. Keep in mind that the predsidential debates knocked out "CSI" and "ER" for CBS and NBC, respectively. "Desparate" and "Lost" are massive hits for the network, although the outlook will be clearer in the weeks to come. "Wife Swap" is another surprise. It actually beat "Law & Order" in adults last week and was only 2 million viewers behind.

"Medical Investigation" is a surprise- it's now Friday's top rated series. "Father" is merely okay, but took a big dip last week.

"Joey" is okay, not horrible but not great (last week it slipped below 14 million viewers).

I'm not sure if Joey will make a 2nd season...if it does, it will be the last

Even with lowered expectations, it's definitely not what NBC wanted it to be.

the only thing to really hurt Joey will be LeBlanc's paycheck. If Scrubs can get 6 million viewers and NBC keeps it, Joey should be safe. Joey is NOT Friends and NBC is beginning to realize that.

I agree. If NBC expects a new show to do better, they're just being stupid.

CSI NY is a big hit for CBS doing surprisingly better than Law & Order.

Lost and Desperate Housewives have put ABC back on the map for me. Those are two excellent series.

I think ABC and CBS are going to own this season. NBC looks like it's starting to fade but it's too early to tell.

I'm surprised how bad Law & Order has done so far this season. And now they're coming out with a 4th show. Can NBC come up with a hit drama that is not Law & Order?

I read where TGIF on ABC is not performing near as well. That seem to be ABC's only worry so far. I would hate it if 8 Simple Rules and Less Than Perfect did not make it to season 4 because that would mean no syndication deal. As for Hope and Faith, I doubt it would make a season 3, and Complete Savage probably won't last a year.

Ugh for Listen Up is right.

Also for ABC.... Desperate Housewives is the biggest nobrainer of all.

I think NBC will renew "Joey" for a second, and possibly a 3rd, season. I doubt it, because it's not that great, but it's not horrible it is OK.

UPN will renew "Star Trek: Enterprise" for a 5h season, and I'm sure a 6th and 7th. The shows gotten markedly better last season, and, from what they're saying, this season promises to be even better. Also, it took the other "Treks" at least 3 seasons to start improving, and besides, there's too many Trekies (like me) to dissapoint.
