The three part episode titled"Archie's Brief Encounter",the season priemer for the 1976/77 season,sort of marked a slight change in Archie and Edith's relationship.When Denise the waitress showed up at Archie's Place two seasons later in the episode"The Return Of The Waitress",and met Edith for the first time,Edith revealed to Denise that she had always wanted to thank her.Because ever since Archie's encounter two years ago,Archie and Edith have been closer than ever.I myself could kind of see that.From that three part episode onwards,Archie did seem a bit less aggressive with Edith.He treated her a little better than he had in previous years.
