Default 20 years ago tonight

October 3, 1984. Charles in Charge made its premiere on CBS. I was a sophomore in high school. Hard to believe it's been that long, but I can still remember watching that premiere episode. It was on a Wednesday night.

At the time, I was a "Fall Guy" fan, which was CIC's competition on ABC at 8 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday nights. Again, as I mentioned in the first paragraph, I was only a sophomore in high school at the time. And in the eyes of a sophomore, it didn't take much to become attracted to certain actresses. And one of those was "The Fall Guy's" Heather Thomas. Thomas is not to be confused with Heather Locklear who was also turning heads at the time on Saturday nights in "T.J. Hooker."

Nonetheless, I decided I would give CIC a try that night. And I became hooked; Gwendolyn Pierce had overtaken Heather Thomas. LOL. But it was more than just that. Many of the storylines I could relate with at the time. For the most part I watched just about every episode that season, unless something for school would cause me to miss one here and there. At the time, the idea of having a VCR was unheard of.

Anyway, thought I'd bring up that piece of information. So, in a way, Happy 20th Anniversary (or birthday, whatever you prefer) to the CIC gang.

I was a Fall Guy fan too so I didn't watch CIC when it was on CBS. I started watching when it was in first run syndication and I still have never seen the last episode. I wish N@n would put it back on and give it a good timeslot.
