I don't own Sonic Heroes or any of the characters from the game.

*At the beach, Sonic is running around*

Sonic: It's been a while since anything has happened... Eggman must be up to something...

Tails: Soooooonic!!! *Tails and Knuckles are in the Tornado 3 and they land on the beach*

Sonic: Hey, guys! Long time no see.

Tails: We're not here for a tea party, Sonic. Look at this! *hands Sonic an envelope*

Sonic: What's this? *unfolds the envelope and unfolds the piece of paper, the note actually reads itself!*

Note: Dear Sonic Heroes,

I've finally completed the ultimate weapon! In 3 days, I will conquer the world! Think you can stop me? Hahahahahahaha!!!

-Dr. Eggman

Sonic: I knew something fishy was going on. Come on, guys, let's get going!

*Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles rush off*

*Meanwhile, underground in Eggman's base...*

Rouge: *jumps down and lands near a door, looks around and hits a few buttons on one of those code pads* This must be it... Eggman's treasure must be stashed somewhere in here...

*Unknowingly to Rouge, the robot E-123 Omega awakens*

Rouge: *walks over to a huge pod and pushes a few random buttons... it opens up and reveals Shadow!* Shadow...? This is impossible... it must be a fake...

Shadow: *awakens and notices Omega getting ready to blow Shadow and Rouge to bits, and grabs Rouge and jumps out of the way* LOOK OUT!!!

Omega: *arms are now machine guns and starts firing bullets rapidly* Must eradicate of all Eggman's robots!

Shadow: *drops Rouge in a dark corner* You stay here, I'll fight him off! *leaps in front of Omega and is dodging all the bullets he fires*

Rouge: HOLD UP!!!! *flies up and grabs Shadow and gets him and Omega to stop fighting* Why are you fighting? If Eggman trapped you guys in here, then you should be going after him! *points to the door* Exit the base that way, I'll be right with you.

Shadow + Omega: *run out of the base*

Rouge: *pulls out an intercom-thing* I've discovered Shadow hidden in Eggman's base, and he's awakened... I don't know how he survived, or if it's just a copy. I'll find out soon enough. *runs out of the base and catches up with Shadow + Omega*

*Meanwhile, on a harbor near where Big the Cat lives*

Amy: *is sitting in a longchair looking at a newspaper* Oh, man, I wonder where Sonic could be right now...? *Strong wind blows the paper right out of Amy's hand* Oh no!!!

Cream: The paper! *flies up and catches the paper and lands* Amy, please be more careful with our only clue!

Amy: You're right. I'm sorry!

Cream: Ahh!!! *The strong wind again blows the paper out of Cream's hand*

Big: *casts his fishing pole and catches the paper*

Amy: Nice catch, Big! C'mon you guys, just sitting around isn't going to get Sonic, Chocola and Froggy back! We have to go look for them! Come on! *runs off, and Cream and Big follow*

*At the Chaotix Detective Agency*

Vector: *is sitting in a wheeled chair with his feet up on his desk, listening to some music on his headphones*

Espio: *is standing up against a wall and faces the door* Charmy's back...

Charmy: *flies in with a small cardboard box in hands* It's here! It's here! YEAH!! *flies into Vector, knocking him out of his chair, and the box goes flying into the air*

Espio: *throws a knife and pins the box into the wall*

Vector: What's wrong with you?!!?

Charmy: It's here! It's here! We've got WORK!!!

Vector: Are you serious?!

*The box opens up and an intercom falls out and lands in Vector's lap, he picks it up*

High-pitched voice on intercom: I've heard good things about you, and require your detective services. And I can pay handsomely! Just head to the beach south of your headquarters and I'll inform you on your missions.

Vector and Charmy: $_$, $_$

Espio: I don't know guys... That guy sounds kind of suspicious...

Vector: Don't be silly, Espio. Besides, you know our policy! We never turn down work that pays!

Charmy: *chirps in* Yeah, you know our policy!

Vector: Come on boys, let's go! *runs out the door*

Charmy: Yes, sir!! *follows*

Espio: Roger... *follows them*
