Why is 8 Simple Rules up against Joan of Arcadia? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Why is John Ritter's show up against John Ritter's son Jason's show "Joan of Arcadia"?!

They should either move 8 Simple Rules at 9:00pm or have 8 Simple Rules stay at 8:30pm & have Joan of Arcadia move to 9:00pm!

Well i would move it of Fridays , the material is there , just the viewers are not , but I doubt that.

Charlie Sheen played in Spin City while it aired at the same time slot as his father's The West Wing.

I seriously think it is not a big deal...I'm sure Jason doesn't mind competing with his father's show...

I don't find it to be a big deal, that's just the way CBS and ABC kind of accidently planned it. I doubt either one of the networks thought about John's show vs. Jason's show.
