If forced to choose I'd have to say "The Bake-Off" is up there. It was one of the first episodes of TC I saw, so it has sentimental meaning as well as being a classic episode. I do miss seeing Larry, though!

Would be interesting to hear from others why their favorite episode is their favorite.

I liked the one where there's a crazy misunderstanding.

"Two flew over the cuckoo's nest" with no hesitation (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEUldaCtIjM). All episodes with Jeffrey Tambor are gems but this one stands out.

It has one of the best lines of the entire series:
Jack: "So Tom, how are ya?"
Janet: "Nuts?"

I love that episode. I often think about the scene where Tom tells Jack his watch broke, and Jack says, "Aww, Tom, now that's no reason to get excited..." in the most patronizing voice ever

Lol

One of my favourites is Days of Beer and Weeds! Thought Jack was hilarious out in the Ropers garden pretending the garden hose was a snake, stepping on the rake and having the handle smack him in the mouth, choking Janet as if she had a caterpillar on her neck because she slapped a mosquito off his cheek and then stabbing the shovel through his foot!

Where's the bug spray? Here it is. Where was it? It was covered in bugs, they love this stuff.

The Ropers garden is a little over grown. A little over grown? Chrissy there are pockets of Japenese in there that don't know the war is over!

Some of my other favourites are Jack Goes the Distance when he has his boxing match against "Biff Bower" and he is trained by Larry and Mr. Furley drinks all of Jacks water in between rounds...

Also Mighty Mouth was good with Harveys Health Spa and Jack chasing Harveys sister around

To go along with the note about my favourite episode of Days of Beer and Weeds, I think this episode actually had the most set changes out of them all, but i could be wrong...

We see the kids apartment, the ropers apartment, the ropers garden, the police station and the community centre where the Flower Exhibition is being held...maybe that also has to do with why it's one of my favourites...we see a lot of areas within the city that we don't ever see again...

It's a toss-up between the Bake-Off and the one where Janet & Mrs. Roper join a nude beach protest.

The problem I have with the Days of Beer and Weeds episode is that is was a little too convenient that Janet wasn't there when Larry said they had cannabis. Janet of course worked in a flower shop, so she would know right away that it wasn't cannabis.

That is an excellent observation! I never thought about that. Now I am trying to think of other episodes with a lot of different sets. Maybe "Extra, Extra" where we see the hospital, the flower shop, the Regal Beagle, and the kids' apartment?

Dianne3, I know what you mean about Janet being conveniently absent. And not just that, but Janet was standing right there when Chrissy gave some of the flowers to Mrs. Roper! I guess she didn't look too closely.

"Days of Beer and Weed" from season 2 is my absolute favorite.
