About the ending.After all the trouble the crew had gone through to finally make it back to civilisation,it seems that civilisation turns out to be not all it was cracked up to be for these characters.It was one thing for them to have missed all the curent affairs that had taken place prior to 1978.But once the crew had all gone their seperate ways,things seemed to go downhill for each and everyone of them.Skipper and Gilligan being tracked down by spies,Professor getting more college publicity than he could handle,Ginger adjusting poorly to the new styles of movie making,the Howells feeling insulted by their new rich friends,and Mary Ann almost forced into an unhappy marriage.Finally at the end of the year(and the end of the episode),the whole cast of characters are reunited on Skipper and Gilligan's new boat.However once leaving Hawaii and heading out to sea,they are all once again caught in a vicious thunderstorm.Once the storm's over,they all wind up stranded on an island,which,according to Gilligan's little discovery of the left over Minnow sign,turns out to be the exact same island they had been rescued from in the first place.My feeling is,judging by how unpleasant civilised life had turned out to be for each of these characters,perhaps their life on that uncharted desert isle was the life for them after all.

I agree with u but i still loved it anyway, i almost cried when they went their seperate ways after getting rescued when this show aired in 1978 it was a very high rated tv movie.

Yeah, what you said Media Lover. The best part of the film (i thought) was when the helicopter spotted them while they were at sea. And then they made it back to Hawaii.
