There was a case about a motorcyclist rammed under the front of his truck by a truck driver who tried to ram him under the low traler of another trucker. The motorcyclist slid under the truck that hit him to freedom but lost both his legs. In his pain and delirium, he said the truck driver that hit him stopped just to unlodge the cycle, toss it away and left after making less than an effort to find him. The case made it sound as if the two truckers were in cahoots. Does anyone recall this case? The episode remarked that the truck that hit the cycle would have likely had a lot of front end damage.

I know what case you're talking about. I haven't heard of any updates, it would be too bad that this truck driver would get away with it. Maybe someone conscience will get to them and will confess.

This was yet another sad reminder of the number of stupid sick people that live in this world.
What exactly did this trucker have to gain by doing this? Was he so bored that he thought... "Hmm, it's a slow night. Maybe I'll try to run over and kill this motorcyclist." What a world we live in. |

Yea this story really bothered me as well. There are some crazy ppl out there man. There's another trucker incident on the highway similar to this one that was profiled in a really short segment on UM. I think it was near Flagstaff AZ on i-40 where a trucker hit a van carrying a UHAUL. A whole family which I think were of vietnamese or chinese decent got nailed by the truck and i think a couple of children died. I was driving with my family along this highway in the summer to vegas and i got shivers when i passed the area. This story i thought was even sadder and more cruel than the biker. It was really brief and i didnt understand why UM created such a short segment. This trucker committed murders of children, while the biker survived with major injuries. oh well, the stories are just both so sad. Makes you think twice about driving on highways at night. Scuuuurry...

Yes it was on I 40 and it was a minivan and it was near gallup new mexico, as of todays date no one has been brought to justice concerning this brutal act. i myself am a truck driver and i know that some drivers push themselves too hard to make that extra buck even though by law they have to log off after so many hours, and some other drivers just dont care about anyone, i have kept my ears open about this matter and if i hear anything will report it to the authoritys, these creeps give good drivers a bad name.
