Season One

Ep1: Pilot Episode:
Nick's housekeeper quits, leaving the Savages to clean up fter themselves but nothing goes as planned. Sam's crush on neighbor girl, Angela becomes more intense after Nick invites her over to talk with Sam.

Ep2: My Brother:
Nick's brother, Jimmy, gets evicted from his apartment across town and is forced to move in with his brother and nephews. Kyle and T.J. sneak into a high school dance, but get caught by Chris and Jack. Sam and Angela go to the dance-their first official date.

Ep3: Times On Your Side, Not Mine:
Jimmy and the boys secretly plan a surprise party for Nick's 49th Birthday. Jimmy accidentally invites Nick's most-hated rival/neighbor, Glenn Phelps (George Wendt) to the party. Glenn and Nick butt-heads at the party, until Glenn has a heart attack and dies-resulting in Nick feeling guilty for fighting Glenn to his death.

Ep4: Dating A Minor:
Chris pretends to be 20, when he goes out with his new 23-year-old girlfriend, Cassie (Laura Prepon). Cassie realizes Chris is only 17 and dumps him immediately for lying to her. Jack joins a band, as lead guitarist. Jack soon wants to quit the band, when the band blows off their first gig to go to a party at a hot freshman girl's house.

Ep5: On EBay:
TJ sells Nick's most-prized possession=his autographed Clint Eastwood picture on EBay. Jimmy and the other boys find out and without telling each other-they try to outbid the other buyers (each other!). Nick gets feelings for Angela's stepmom, Kate (Kirstie Alley).

Ep6: Dating Illegally:
Nick and Kate go out on a date. Kate is cheating on her husband/Angela's dad with Nick. Sam and Angela catch Nick and Kate on a date. They don't know what to do: tell her dad? not to tell?. So they ask for advice from Sam's brothers (who are just as clueless as them).

Ep7: An Instant Connection:
Nick and Kate hit it off great, they decide to do it. Kate feels guilty for cheating on Angela's dad, Mark (Tony Danza)--so instead of dumping Nick, she decides to divorce Mark. Jack gets asked out by Chantel (Lindsay Lohan). Jack and Chantel go out, while on the date, they realize they share one interest-music.

Ep8: Jimmy's Psycho Girlfriend:
Jimmy's longtime, psycho girlfriend, Beth Randall (Leah Remini) shows up with shocking news for Jimmy. Beth is 5 months pregnant with Jimmy's child. Jimmy is confused, shocked, stunned, and speechless, as are Nick and the boys.

Ep9: Double Dating:
Jack, Chantel, Sam, and Angela double date to the movies, but Jack and Chantel's taste in movies are very different than Sam and Angela's. The two teenage couples agrue and decide to go to different movies. Jimmy, pregnant Beth, Nick, and Kate go out on a double date to a fancy restaurant. Beth and Jimmy start feuding over if Beth is really carryng Jimmy's child or someone else's.

Ep10: DIVORCED:
Kate and Mark get a divorce. Angela takes the divorce badly, Sam comforts her-but soon pushs him away. Sam tells Nick since he caused the divorce, Angela wants nothing to do with him. Nick, Kate, and Sam try to convince Anglea to speak to Sam again.

Ep11: Truth About Gretchen:
Chris's new girlfriend, Gretchen (Mila Kunis) is hiding something from Chris. Chris catchs on to her hiding something, but doesn't know what. Gretchen is hiding her other boyfriend from Chris. Chris catchs Gretchen with her other boyfriend and gets a taste of his own medicine. Nick and Kate discuss marriage-Kate is not ready and Nick is ready.

Ep12: A New Guitar:
Jack needs a new guitar, after breaking his old one. Nick tells Jack to get a job to pay for the guitar. Jack gets a job at the movie theater as an usher. He gets enough money for the guitar and quits the job--which isn't what Nick had in mind. T.J. befriends a new student in his 7th grade class--Brittany (Jamie Lynn Spears). Brittany develops a crush on T.J., who also is hiding his secret feelings for Brittany.

Ep13: Bye-Bye Brother:
Jimmy and Beth decide to get married and move into Beth's apartment in Madison, WI. Nick and the boys help Jimmy move his stuff out of Milwaukee and into Madison. Sam and Angela decide to go to a college party with Chantel and Jack.

Ep14: Bonding Brothers:
With Jack and Sam off with Chantel and Angela at another party, and T.J. is at Brittany's birthday party, Chris and Kyle try to bond with each other. Nick and Kate decide to move in together(meaning kate to move in with the savages).

Ep15: Fathers And Sons:
Nick and the boys enter a father-son triathletalon. Kate bumps into her ex Mark at grocery store. Mark confesses Kate about his feelings for her still. Kate becomes unsure of who to choose : Nick OR Mark?
