Default New York Post reports that N@N set a new record last week

Last week N@N average 751,000 viewers which is a new record. I'm guessing because the Fresh Prince marathon did VERY VERY WELL!!!!!!!!.

I am kinda surprised.

Fresh Prince in it's peak was a top 20 show... Cosby Show, Roseanne, Three's Company and Cheers were all #1 at one point, and even the mistreated Who's The Boss was top 10 for 4 or 5 years, so it's kinda surprising to see FPOBA being bigger for Nick.

It the times IMO, nowadays more modern shows like FP, and such do better than the older shows ratings wise.

Who's the Boss? was high rated for 6 seasons, it hit in the 30's it's first season, and because ABC moved it to Saturdays in it's last season(in order to kill it) it dropped alot, but picked up when they moved it back to a better timeslot.

Wings was even a hit, it hit in the 30's alot, yet NBC never wants to acknowledge that Wings ever did well

Wings was actually top 15 one season (I think 93-94) and was top 20 another. It did pretty consistantly until the last season when it just ran out of steam.

Even though I think NBC is the greatest network ever.... they are dumb sometimes.
If a series doesn't get Friends numbers, they try to kill it.
Luckily -- Wings and Frasier (another example of a show they dont seem to be proud of).... kept most of their audience.

Wings is the red headed stepchild of NBC, basically people say it was a hit because of Cheers

When Wings aired on USA network it was the butt of alot of jokes by comics, I mean god forbid USA network air the show(when they had it) more than twice a day, cause otherwise the comics had a field day

Yeah they didn't treat Frasier very well, didn't they switch timeslots on it alot?

It changed from Thursdays to Tuesdays to Thursdays and back to Tuesdays.
Ohh, and about Wings being a hit because of Cheers.... dont get mad, but I agree.

Just like Cheers would've never been a hit if not for TCS.

actually, Wings' most popular season was the year after Cheers left (the 1993-1994 season was when it made top 15), but NBC Thursday Night was very hot then, Wings was followed by Seinfeld and then Frasier.

And then Friends came and screwed that all up.

That's a possiblity, but I do believe Wings helds it's own. Some say it was a success because of Cheers, but it wouldn't have lasted 8 seasons if that were completely the case

I think with Wings, a big problem was NBC not promoting it. Wings really seemed to find it's audience when it came to USA in 93 or so. it did reasonable before, but I noticed more and more people talking about the show AFTER the reruns on USA
