CA, September 21, 2004 ¡V Bolstered by the premiere-week marathon of the hit comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Nick at Nite was crowned with its most-watched week in network history, posting record-setting delivery levels among A18-49 -- Nick at Nite¡¦s core demo -- and total viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. Among A18-49, Nick at Nite was the Number One network in basic cable averaging a 0.7/751,000, up +40% in rating and +43% in delivery over the same week last year. Nick at Nite also raised audience levels by +47% over the same period last year, averaging 1.6 million total viewers.

The launch marathon showcase, (9/13-9/16, 9 p.m.-6 a.m. ET/PT) which pre-empted Nick at Nite¡¦s regularly scheduled programming, averaged a 0.7/787,000 among A18-49, a strong +62% increase in delivery over last year¡¦s average and topping the network¡¦s previous record week in the demo, the September, 1996 marathon launch of Happy Days. Also, among A18-49, the network improved its rating over the same week last year by a healthy +40%.

Among Women 18-49, the Fresh Prince programming block lifted Nick at Nite +67% in rating and +62% in delivery over last year, earning a 1.0/534,000 for the marathon. The network¡¦s newest programming acquisition also led Nick at Nite as the number-one basic cable network among W18-49 during total programming day, beating the number-two network by a considerable +40% margin.

Co-executive-produced by music legend Quincy Jones, the NBC comedy aired from 1990 to 1996 and focuses on Will (Smith), a teenager from a tough West Philadelphia neighborhood whose mother sends him to live with his wealthy relatives in Bel Air, California. It¡¦s a tough adjustment for the teenager at first, whose streetwise ways don¡¦t seem to fit in with their ornate mansion, luxurious cars and live-in butler.

Will immediately clashes with Uncle Phillip (James Avery), a pompous, successful lawyer who was raised in a tough neighborhood much like Will¡¦s and enjoys teaching him lessons and catching him on his crazy shenanigans. Aunt Vivian (Janet-Hubert Whitten and later Daphne Maxwell Reid) is the mediator between the two, and Geoffrey (Joseph Marcell), the always-proper butler, becomes one of Will¡¦s closest allies. Among his cousins, Will enjoys teasing the preppy Carlton (Alfonso Ribeiro) and spoiled Hilary (Karen Parsons), while taking teenager Ashley (Tatyana M. Ali) under his wing and becoming her confidante. The brood expands with the birth of Nicholas ¡§Nicky¡¨ Banks (Ross Bagley).

Nick at nite needs to put more shows on there. A Different World,Family Matters,227 & Moesha would be nice add ons!
