Does anyone else have a terrible problem with the pop-ups that start loading when you log onto the site?

I used to not have this problem, now I get 5 or 6 ads that start each time, and they start overtaking the computer and multiplying! I want to know if anyone else has issues here with it, or if it's just me and something I can fix.

I'm scared to come back!

I usually only get one popup when I visit the forums for the first time each day. The same happens when I visit the photo album. I don't get 5 or 6 though. I'm sorry, I don't know what to tell you.

I only get one, when I first log on. I'm not savvy enough either to know whay that's happening to you, Hank18.

I do not have this problem. I have a pop-up ad blocker and it will let me know how many pop-ups it has blocked. Sometimes it has been as many as 5 or 6. Good luck. Those are SOOOOO annoying!!!

I only get one popup when I first come to the page (if I don't have Popup Stopper running). It sounds like you may have some spyware on your computer.

I had the massive popup problem on my computer at work, and it was a bit difficult to completely remove. However, you can make great headway to minimize the problem by downloading, installing and running three free spyware detection and removal programs (be sure to update each one before running them for the first time to make sure yuo have the latest dectction files). Do a Google search for Ad Aware by Lavasoft, Spybot Search and Destroy and Spyblaster. Running these will clean out most of the spyware and keep you from getting more.

After all of that, you may want to run Panicware's free version of Popup Stopper too.

Thanks everyone for your help! I've been able to delete a lot of the spyware that causes so much havoc on my computer, and it seems to be running a lot faster...
