Default Kill off Johnathon, would we really even notice??

If it weren't for Johnathon (who almost never made me laugh), this show would've been perfect.

I think they should've had Angela be a single woman who doesn't like kids.... but have her warm up to Sam.

I don't necessarily agree, although, I do think Jonathan was less of a comic relief. If Jonathan had never been on the show after like, the second season, I wouldn't have noticed. I mean, I would have been like "where's he?" and then my answer would have been "Angela went to a boarding school, so she probably shipped off Jonathan" and that would be the end of that. Samantha was just so much more realistic. The shallow girl who is striving for popularity in high school. Much more comic!

No I liked Jonathan, but he was more of a supporting character. I think Tony and Angela both being single parents really made a difference compared to if Tony had just been the single parent.

Both of them being single parents helped to bring them closer cause they could relate to what each other was going through with their child

omg i so love jonathan. im glad he wasnt killed off!! he was so cute, and i thought he was pretty funny. i mean come on he's only like 11 now.......what can he really say? he helped the show.....it made mona a grandmother.....so lines that insult her w/that could exist. and hes also the reason why angela hired tony.......for a male role model. it fit perfectly!

yeah, i have to pass on the cute part... the first episode was where he was the cutest... "it's ok with me mom" and "is it too late to change my vote?" are my two favorite jonathan lines.

I liked him when he was younger! Just because he wasn't as funny as the other characters doesn't mean he should get killed off. IMO, WTB? wouldn't be the same without ALL the characters.

I loved him in Season 1 and 2, but then I didn't like him as much.

But I've always liked Samantha!

A good point made in saying Tony and Angela had more in common when they are both single parents. And now that I think about it, if he hadn't of have Sam with him, he wouldn't have gotten the job, because Angela wasn't comfortable with him in the house alone. And if Angela didn't have Jonathan, then she would have never needed Tony. So yeah, without the kids, they'd have no relationship.

Ha! Alyssa made that show! She was the kid who always pushed her dad into Angela's arms, while it was Mona, not Jonathan, who pushed Angela to Tony. There would be no relationship without any of them, yes, but if Samantha wasn't around, Tony wouldn't have needed to leave, he wouldn't have ended up at Angela's door, and he would have never discovered how much he really loved her.
