In one episode during the closing credits, Richie and a friend made a bet that Carl looked like Uncle Phil from Fresh Prince.

Then all of a sudden James Avery walked onto the set surprising everyone. LOL!

Anyone remember that.

Yeah i remember but he didn't appear as Uncle Phil, he appeared as James Avery. And it wasn't a crossover because his apperance wasn't apart of the storyline.

Oh yeah, I remember that. I also remember an episode of the Fresh Prince where a man looks at Uncle Phil and I think he says "Aren't you the guy from Family Matters?" But Reginald VelJohnson never guest starred on that show. I know Jaleel White guest starred in another episode of FP but he didn't play Steve Urkel.

Yeah I remember that episode of FP. Also Jaleel White played a Normal guy who was Ashely's Boyfriend

Why did James Avery appear on the set of Family Matters? I never understood that. After seeing him and Carl hug each other, that could have went for brothers.

James Avery appeared on the FM set because in a certain FM episode, someone compared Carl Winslow to Uncle Phil so in the closing credits James Avery appeared for the audience to laugh.
