Default Shows where Every character is funny??

Some shows stand out because of one maybe two characters that make it hysterical.

Others have a cast filled with characters that bring tons of laughs.

In which sitcom(s) is every character funny??

I think these are shows where every character is funny:

Cheers
Frasier
Seinfeld
The Dick Van Dyke Show
The Mary Tyler Moore Show

and The Bob Newhart Show

The only character I can think of on Roseanne that was not funny was Bev. DJ became increasingly less funny from the 7th season onward because of puberty, but overall, the cast was top notch.

Three's Company. All of the characters were funny at some point in the series.

I Love Lucy. Same as 3's Co.

Definatly agree with TC. Each character had something about them that generated laughs.

Same with "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman." In just the 35 episodes that TVLand has shown, I found each of the characters to have something funny about them. Each one has made me laugh at least once.

I think Ricky was funny, but besides that he was the straight man. A lot of people don't give credit to the straight man. I'm not saying you are one of them. It's just that a lot of people I know don't like Ricky Ricardo because of him not allowing Lucy to "be in the show." But if Ricky wasn't that way, there would be less comedy. Lucy wouldn't have to fight and trick her way into the show with hilarious results. In other words ...

Ricky Ricardo Rules !!!

I agree that without Ricky there would be no show.
But they shouldve at least made him funny.
Give him some deadpan humor or at least something.
Anyways, Id take Fred and Ethel over Ricky and Lucy anyday.

I believe, and this may be just a dream I once had, but I thought they had planned to do a Mertz spin-off. However, since both William Frawley and Vivian Vance couldn't stand eachother they passed on the proposal. If the show would have really happened, it would be odd to have the Mertzes without the Ricardos.
