Eight Simple Rules
Season 3 Episodes Ep1:Welcome Back: Cate welcomes Bridget back from her summer in Washington D.C., Kerry back from her summer in Europe, and Rory back from Florida with Jim and CJ. Jim tells Cate and the girls that Laura (cate's mom) has moved on and is divorcing Jim for good. Ep2: Life Goes On: Jim decides to get back into the dating realm, as CJ continues his relationship with annoying-yet-loving girlfriend, Sherri (Soleil Moon Frye). Kerry tells Bridget and Rory that she lost her virginity to her new love interest back in Europe, but Kerry soon learns her new European love---lives in Michigan too. Ep3: Moving Out, Moving In: Sherri asks CJ to move in with her in her apartment, he moves out the Hennessy home and in with Sherri. Jim begins dating Jackie (Blythe Danner). Jackie was an old childhood friend of Jim's, who moved away after the 7th grade and now is reunited with Jim..romantically!!. Kerry decides she wants a relationship with Pete, her new summer love-meaning she will have to dump Kyle. Ep4: Bridget Takes Care of It: Bridget tells Kyle about Kerry breakin up with him for Pete. Kyle becomes confused, Bridget comforts him--which brings back her feelings for Kyle. Rory and Missy look forward to starting high school. Cate becomes school nurse at the kids's school. Ep5: Mom And The Principal: Cate decides to go out on a date with Principal Ed Gibb (Adam Arkin). Ed and Cate are interrupted by the countless students who drop by their table to talk about the two dating. The kids are embarrassed that Cate is dating Principal Gibb. Jim and Jackie have a "sleepover" at Cate's home-which causes problems with Cate and the kids-who are grossed out. Ep6: Love Trouble: Kerry and Pete go out to the movies, where they bump into Bridget and Kyle. Bridget finds it awkward for Kerry and Kyle to be together, so she takes Kyle somewhere else. Pete is introduced to the the family and well Kyle. Cate tells Jim he can't have Jackie spend the night anymore, otherwise he will have to get out of the house. Jim feeling "ganged up on" by Cate, decides to move into Jackie's house. Ep7: Cooking For Disaster: Rory must bake 5 dozen cookies for Missy's brithday party, so Cate decides to help him out. Ed drops a big bomb onto Cate-that he is returning to his wife. Cate becomes mad that he never told her about his wife. Kerry and Pete are caught in a compromising position by Bridget. Kyle asks Bridget out on a date, she gladly accepts. Ep8: Back Together Again: Kyle and Bridget become a couple again. Kerry becomes jealous of seeing Bridget with Kyle around the house, school, etc. Pete's parents and Pete wants to have dinner with Kerry and her family. Rory and Bridget both have plans with Missy and Kyle already and can't make it. Kerry tells Cate to not embarrass her at dinner, Cate becomes hurt and decides not to say much than she has to. Kerry then apologizes to Cate. Ep9: Bridget The Tennis Star: Bridget joins the tennis team, and becomes the star player. Pete gets transferred to Kerry's school, causing problems when, Kerry ends up in class with Pete..and Kyle...and Bridget. Cate decides to go to a singles bar from 35 and up. Cate ends up being hit on by "older" guys, but after a night of misery, she gets confronted by Matt Stephens (John Stamos). Matt and Cate hit it off great and make a date for same time next week. Ep10: One Cool Dude: Matt invites Cate and the kids over for dinner one night, the kids all have plans with their significiant others. Matt also invites the boyfriends and girlfriend along too. So, instead of making a dinner for five, Matt makes a dinner for 8. Pete and Kyle get into a shoving match in Matt's driveway, leaving Kerry and Bridget to break it up. Rory tells Cate in private that Matt is not "his dad" and will never be "his dad", but "Matt would make a real cool stepdad someday". Cate becomes happy that her kids like Matt, except that her daughters and their boyfriends are battling one another in her new boyfriend's driveway. |
