Mad Magazine in their satire of PF said the shows had no plot. It was kinda true. Subplots were sometimes not ever resolved. Bad writing. In one ep the Partridges find out a nearby bank was robbed. We never learn if the robber is ever caught or not. To give just one example.

2. Yes, folks, the character which Shirley Jones made her own was originally called Connie for the first few episodes (she even introduces herself as that to viewers via the opening narration of the pilot)but, she inexplicably changes her name to the Shirley we all know and are familiar with after this. 3.We never learn whether Shirley let Laurie go on that skiing weekend unchaperoned with that boyfriend -either as Laurie or phoney Southern 'Laurie Belle'! |

Also Shirley mentions in her narration in the pilot episode that she worked at the bank.

So, there should be no confusion to any viewers unless they are among the lucky few to have seen the unaired version of the pilot. There is some lobbying going on to get that version released on the DVD set. |

One thing that they left out in the pilot was Danny's "voice changing" scene when he was trying to sing "Let The Good Times
In". That always cracked me up. |
