Default Subplots that were left unresolved

Mad Magazine in their satire of PF said the shows had no plot. It was kinda true. Subplots were sometimes not ever resolved. Bad writing. In one ep the Partridges find out a nearby bank was robbed. We never learn if the robber is ever caught or not. To give just one example.

1.No surprise since we never learn anything about Mr. Partridge (not even his given name) except that he died six months before the show's beginning and left Connie with a large house but few liquid assets.
2. Yes, folks, the character which Shirley Jones made her own was originally called Connie for the first few episodes (she even introduces herself as that to viewers via the opening narration of the pilot)but, she inexplicably changes her name to the Shirley we all know and are familiar with after this.
3.We never learn whether Shirley let Laurie go on that skiing weekend unchaperoned with that boyfriend -either as Laurie or phoney Southern 'Laurie Belle'!

Also Shirley mentions in her narration in the pilot episode that she worked at the bank.

The character was called Connie in the script and first version of the pilot. But about 7 minutes of that pilot were cut out of the show before it ever aired on ABC, and all references to "Connie" were cut as well (this is the version of the pilot that had Jack Cassidy as "Connie's" boyfriend). So the mom is never referred to by name in the first episode, and by episode 2, she was referred to as Shirley.

So, there should be no confusion to any viewers unless they are among the lucky few to have seen the unaired version of the pilot. There is some lobbying going on to get that version released on the DVD set.

Post Subplots that were left unresolved

One thing that they left out in the pilot was Danny's "voice changing" scene when he was trying to sing "Let The Good Times
In". That always cracked me up.
