Talking Bands Reunited

Has anyone seen the new season of VH1's Bands Reunited? I saw the one for The English Beat today. It was really good, but they didn't get to perform because two members that didn't return the call to contact VH1. It was kind of sad, because four out of the six were happy to do it, but the other two didn't show up.

They did however perform with the band that Rankin' Roger and three other members of the band had formed as The Beat, and Dave Wakeling was there special guest for one performance.

I always wonder, what could be so bad that you wouldn't want to even acknowledge the fact that someone was trying to contact you. I mean the other two guys could have at least phone and say look we don't want to do this, I don't want to be apart of that. I really love the English Beat and would have loved to see the whole band back together.

So far this season, they have reunited ABC, it was fun to see them, I was a fan of theirs too, and the Motels (didn't see that one and I'm not sure if they reunited).

If you had a band reunion wishlist, what bands would you love to see back together on the show??

They may have the times up on the VH1 board.

It was great, Martin still looked great.

You probably already now who I'd like to see reunited. I got excited from just seeing Prince and Wendy on the Tavis Smiley show earlier this year, so seeing the whole Revolution band back with Prince would be cool. Aside from that, I'd like to see any band from the 80's. I enjoyed seeing the episodes they did with Klymaxx and Frankie Goes To Hollywood last year. I wouldn't mind seeing Culture Club, Ready For The World (I always liked them), maybe the Human League. How about the Police, that would be cool. The Jets, Shalamar. I'll take them all.

The only band I've ever heard of on that show was NKOTB. And that's the only episode I've seen. And it was sad because they didn't get together.

The episode with ABC will be show again tomorrow at 1 pm EST.

Engish Beat will be show tomorrow at 12 pm EST

Motels Tuesday at 4 pm EST

Haircut 100 has one too but there is no scheduled time for their episode.

I have a question, and maybe I am a little naieve, I have never been in a band, but it seems to me that people who are in bands start out with one ultimate goal, and that is to make it in the business and have fun doing what you love, which is play music. But it just seems somewhere along that line there is a breakdown and everyone ends up hating each other and not speaking. Does money and fame have that big of a influence that it can kill what was something good and turn people into enemies? Like I said I may be naieve, but I really think its said to work so hard only to have that be the thing that ruins it.

Just some thoughts running through my head.

money can kill ANYTHIING

it was suggested that the two guys in English Beat that didn't show up were possibly not interested because they had a new album coming out that month (?week) and they did NOT want to draw attention away from that
