I love David Letterman a lot during both his NBC and CBS years. But nobody beats Johnny Carson and The Tonight Show.

Conan, of course.

I've never seen it with Johnny Carson, but apparently it was pretty good I'd like to see a woman do late night, though.

Letterman. He was at his best during his NBC days, but he's still great. He's followed closely by the man, Johnny Carson. Here's my top five late night hosts:

1. David Letterman
2. Johnny Carson
3. Conan O'Brien
4. Jon Stewart
5. Bill Maher

Johnny Carson, although he's followed closely by Letterman and Conan. Letterman was at his very best at NBC.

I agree, and would like to add that Conan is really good too.

But Carson was God, as far as late night goes....

Cool

I voted for other. I was going to say Thicke of the Night but then I remembered we're talking best show not worst show. So I will vote for Steve Allen's Tonight Show.

Joan Rivers had her own late night gab fest a few years ago. I believe it was on FOX if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, Johnny Carson was the late night master.

Letterman.

Carson is a close second. No other late night personality made hosting look so easy.
