Default Anybody Besides Me Who Didn't Like Dee?

AFTER WATCHING THE FIRST SEASON OF WHAT'S HAPPENING ON DVD, ALL I CAN SAY IS DEE WAS SUCH A SMART-ASS. SHE WAS SASSY, DISRESPECTFUL, AND RAJ SHOULD HAVE CHOKED HER TO DEATH. DIDN'T SHE HAVE ANY FREINDS? SHE WAS ALWAYS HANGING AROUND RAJ AND HIS BOYS WHEN SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ACTING LIKE A DECENT YOUNG LADY.

I am sorry, but I feel just the oppsite; I think Dee was the perfect foil towards her brother, and his friends

I agree. A whole chunk of what made the show funny would be gone if it wasn't for Dee. I think she's one of the great standout sitcom characters.

I adored her sassiness especially towards ReRun; which in my opinion was the most entertaining part of What's Happening!!

I don't like kids on sitcoms. Never did. This list of kids characters forced me to lose interest in the show.

What's Happening-(Dee)
Cosby Show-(Oliva)
Jeffersons-(Jessica)
Good Times-(Penny)
All in the Fmily-(Stephanie)
Ropers-(David)

He was a nice little kid. What was bad about him?

Your question can be Answer on the Ropers Board. I posted a topic about why I didn't like David about a month or two ago.

Sorry i love Dee, she is actually my favorite character. Her lines make me laugh so hard i sometimes about fall off my bed. Without her in the show to really liven things up once in awhile the show would be alot more boring. Her character add's that magic touch to the show. I think all the characters were good but the ones that make me laugh the hardest are Dee, Rerun, Shirley, and Roger (Raj). As far as Dee though sure she is sasssy, but i can't help but love her, she makes me laugh the hardest.

I think Dee is funny. The dead-pan delivery of her lines was often funnier than the actual joke. I tend to like kid-actors better if they are not so hyper and she certainly wasnt hyper.

I didn't really like her either especially in season 2. She was an annoying brat and she wasn't funny at all.

There were times when I thought she was a little snot but she did make me laugh, and I do agree with Lady T and Brian Damage.

I just got Season 2 today... and Dee's lines in "It's all in your head" were hilarious! After a not so good first episode "Rerun gets married", the next episode reminded me why I loved the show (cos I've not seen it since the very early 80's).
