That is only a speculation that he loses. I think that the person who spreaded this rumor is nothing but a S%$# head! I think that they are just giving a big heads-up! But you never know what might happen!

When I heard this last night on MSNBC,it was the L.A. Times that spoiled everything for everybody. It is just like telling somebody what happened at the end of a movie when they haven't seen it yet.

The Game Show Network Message Board had a post similar to this this morning and as of this afternoon it is gone.

What it basically did was took out the suspense of how long Ken was going to last on Jeopardy and how much he was going to get. Too bad now, because it is basically just watching Ken win up until he loses sometime in November. I'm mad because the Los Angeles Times had to spill the beans.

I know that if Ken Jennings continues to keep winning and winnings or if he loses, maybe I'm going to play "I Lost on Jeopardy!" by Weird Al Yancovick. This is dedicated to Ken who will lose that someone will be the new champion.

I wouldn't go blaming anybody on this board for spreading that rumor, as it made national headlines about a month-and-a-half ago. Granted, it upset a lot of people (like myself) who wish to remain unspoiled, but it is not the fault of any one specific person that the news leaked.

Are you jealous you didn't win 74 times in a row? Have some respect.

Here is an article from tvgameshows.net:

REALTOR NANCY ZERG BECOMES KEN JENNINGS' SURPRISE CONQUEROR

Tuesday, November 30, 2004: The Day the Winning Stopped.

In a stunning finish which had been leaked as early as two months ago, Ventura, Cal., realtor Nancy Zerg upset 74-day champion and television's all-time top winner Ken Jennings Tuesday night on "Jeopardy!" when the Murray Ut., software engineer missed the Final Jeopardy! answer.

Zerg, trailing by $4,400 going into Final Jeopardy! nailed the correct question on the category of Business and industry: most of this firm's seasonal 70,000 white-collar employees work only four months a year.

The former actress, who recently adopted a 14-month-old Chinese orphan, quickly came home with "What is H&R Block?" Her $4,401 wager gave her a $1 lead at $14,401.

Jennings, successful in more than two-thirds of his previous Final Jeopardy! attempts, had a sheepish grin as he revealed "What is FedEx?"

In a quick cut to Zerg, the new champion displayed a stunned facial expression before breaking into a huge grin. Jennings wagered $5,601 (enough to have given him a $1 victory had he been correct). He fell to his lowest total of the 75-day run with $8,799.

Jennings and Zerg hugged as he congratulated his conqueror. The studio auience joined in a spontaneous standing ovation. With his $2,000 second place consolation prize, Jennings' final total---a record for all television game shows, network and syndication---was $2,522,700.

While most of the media is focusing on the Final Jeopardy! miss as the cause of Jennings' downfall, the key to the windup may well have been the 30-year-old phenom missing both Daily Doubles in Double Jeopardy! for the first time.

At $14,600 when he hit the first one, he tried to reach $20,000 with a $5,400 wager and missed. Two questions later, Jennings reeled off another five-question run and topped it off with the second DJ! Daily Double.

With a $4,800 on a $15,200 total, Jennings missed again. By the end of his 14-for-18 round, Jennings finished at an uncharacteristically low $14,400. Zerg, who ironically was only four-for-five in Double Jeopardy!, was tenaciously close at $10,000. Minneapolis college student David Hankins, never a factor, was eliminated from Final Jeopardy! at -$2,800.

Interestingly, Jennings was a perfect 14-for-14 in Jeopardy! and finished the two main rounds 28-for-32. Before Final Jeopardy!, Zerg only registered 10 correct questions but her percentage was on the money: she only tried 11.

Jennings rewrote the entire record book of "Jeopardy! statistics and established new marks in the US history of the genre: longest winning streak (74) and money winnings ($2,522 million).

Referred in many circles now as the Joe DiMaggio of Game Shows, Jennings began his six-month journey June 2nd with a narrow $1,400 victory over fellow challenger Julia Lazarus.

In his 74 victories prior to Tuesday, Jennings rendered Final Jeopardy! mathematically inconsequential 65 times and established single-day ($75,000) and five-day records ($221,200) for the series.
