EVER NOTICED DURING THE SHOW'S FIVE YEARS, MICHAEL HAD NO HOMEBOYS? ONE PERSON WHO WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD PAL FOR HIM WOULD HAVE BEEN DUANE FROM WHAT'S HAPPENING! {HAYWOOD NELSON} I SWEAR WHEN I WAS LITTLE, I USE TO GET THE TWO MIXED UP. THEY ARE ABOUT THE SAME AGE, HAD ALMOST THE SAME FRO, AND THEY SOUNDED ALMOST ALIKE. ANYBODY AGREE?

Michael had four friends.

one who was not seen but was supposed to be in the hallway in the very first episode

another friend he wanted to call but James told him no because the prinicipal was about to call thelma

another friend named Tommy who was mentioned in the episode-"Michael the Warlord" but not seen

There was only one friend shown in a episode and that was season 5 when Michael, Penny and the guy was arrested for being in a speeding car.

So Michael had 3 off screen friends and 1 on screen friend-lol

But I get what he's saying. Michael did not have a "CREW" He seemed to only have people that he met for basketball, but no one that came by the house to see him or hang out. You can't count when he joined those gangs 2 times. remember when they found his jacket in the oven? LOL. and the only way he could get out was to bring his mama down to the gang's hideaway spot? what a loser.

JJ had the awesome 4some among others.
Thelma had girlfriends coming over to study.

With the exception of the bully that he invited to spend the nite, nobody came to see Michael for real.

hmmm......now what does that tell you? was he reeeaallllyyyyy playing basketball when he went out?

As much as he played, why wasn't he a basketball star or something? Come to think, Michael was always short, even as he'd gotten older.

LOL-i know. He was shorter than Florida, Thelma, and Willona in Season 6.

All three were wearing high heeled shoes. In reality Thelma stands the same height as Michael. They (the females) wore high heels to imply that, being the youngest, Michael was obviously shorter.

I do agree with you on the fact that Michael and Duane look similar.
