I've heard about CBS trying very hard to keep the series premiere under wraps, which will supposedly have a "big surprise"
I'm not a fan of the series, but I think the show has met its shark -- pregnancy. |

Once again, Im not a fan of the series.... but I think "The Home" can only mean that either the mother or father have to go into a nursing home (most likely the mother)

I was very surprised by this twist. It all happened so fast. I hope Frank and Marie will come back and have to live with Robert and Amy. I haven't heard anything about the two actors leaving the series, so they may be back.

I thought the season premiere was excellent. I'll admit that my enthusiasm for this show had been waning during the last couple of seasons, mainly because all of the characters had degenerated into petty, hostile and unsympathetic caricatures of their former selves. Last night, though, it seemed that the writers might finally have realized what many viewers have known all along -- that it's possible to maintain the sibling rivalry between Ray and Robert, the jealousy Robert feels regarding Marie's obvious favoritism toward Raymond, the superficial marital discord between Frank and Marie and Marie's critical attitude toward Debra, but to do it in a way that doesn't cause the characters to lose the sympathy of the viewers. Last night, I liked these people again, and I was able to laugh with them rather than be saddened by the animosity and pettiness that seemed to have tainted all of their interactions over the past couple of years.
As for the move to the retirement community, I seriously doubt that we've seen the last of Frank and Marie. I'm sure they'll be visiting often, or maybe there will be a change of plans. (The description for next week's episode reads: "Robert, Amy, Marie and Frank love their living situation.") |

Once again, Im still not a fan of this series.... but I watched it last night, too lazy to change the channel.
Of the maybe 10, 15 episodes of the series Ive seen.... this was the best. |

![]() Actually, I didn't have to look very hard. I have my Excite.com start page set up to show DirecTV's listings, and for most channels there are program descriptions available for the current week and the week ahead. |

This premierre looked more like a way to end the show. They had better have some big stuff waiting this season. I still say they can't end the show without Amy at least getting pregnant. Don't forget, Robert has crazy in-laws too. They have to make an appearce at some point.
