Question Who was the first roommate that Jack kissed?

I always thought it was Chrissy but Roper's Niece was the third episode of the 1st season (according to TV Tome); and I thought Jack kissed Janet in that episode.
So is Janet the first?

Thanks you so much for the answer. That's some interesting trivia.
Silly me! I thought Chrissy was the first because Jack came on so strong towards her. But after recently re-watching a few first season episodes I'm starting to realize that it seems Jack had a closer bond to Janet than he did with Chrissy. It's like Janet is Jack's equal and best bud whereas Chrissy is just booty.

Whoa!! Let me get this straight ... Janet is Jack's first kiss on the show, period?! Well, I'll be darn. All right Janet! Not too shabby for a plain Jane ... er ... Janet.

LOL!!! No problem! Glad I could help!!! YUP!!! Janet was the first girl Jack kisses throught the entire show!! I think it would have been cute if she would of been the last one. Like at the end of the show when they are about to close the door if they would of kissed just one last time ...for the fans at least but anyhow! You are right Janet was always the real thing w/Jack!!!!!! Oh yea...and their first kiss wasn't just a little one it was a cute kinda longer kiss then they usually share!!!!!!!!

*sigh* Now that I realize Janet was the first girl that Jack kissed; it makes the ending of the series even sadder.

I totally agree that Janet should've been the last girl that Jack kissed on 3C. It would've been poignant that the show ended full circle. Ah, well.

I'm still kind of blown away that Janet was the very first kiss. I always thought the very 1st kiss was some random girlfriend and the 1st roommate kiss (the 2nd kiss for the show) was Chrissy followed lastly by Janet. Goes to show how much I've been paying attention. It's sad that at the beginning, the show kind of treated Janet as sloppy seconds to Chrissy especially when it came to sex appeal. It's really cool that Janet got the honor of being the first. I guess I didn't think about it until I was trying to figure out when the series began to first hint at J/J. So I guess J/J sort of started in the very first season then? I always thought J/J started after Chrissy left because I thought the tiara of Jack's pseudo love interest went mostly to Chrissy at the start of the series. It seems Janet was a dark horse.

!!! LOL! Yup! it was all about Jack and Janet since the beginning! The writers knew who to get us into the show! Because the first 2 epis were more of getting us into the show and the whole 'sex' thing behind the jokes but the 1st real true epi where the characters show how much they care for each other was Roper's neice...A JACK AND JANET episode!!! It showed how much Jack was willing to do for Janet and it also showed how much Janet liked Jack...she was sooooooo jealous that he went out w/Karen, and she so wanted the frist kiss!!! and she also never answered the question about likeing Jack as more than a roomate...she kinda covers up by replying that she had asked first!!!! All these thing just made it so clear to think that JJ were meant to be til the end and saddly they weren't Thank God for FF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aww!!! I could have definitely settled for that ending (as an alternative to J&J getting together). Lol.

Thank you so much for the info!
I've seen all the episodes of the series but out of sequence. It's cool to realize that Roper's Niece was such a pivotal episode. (Also I found out from TV Tome that Roper's Niece was the first original episode not based upon a Man About The House episode. So the situation was unique for this series.) I noticed that after that episode Jack really warmed up to Janet. Their friendship was closer and Jack started to appreciate Janet's femininity. I recently saw It's Only Money and Janet was totally loving Jack's attention.
I agree that the show mislead people to believe that J/J were going to be an item sometime in the future. And yes; thank goodness for FF to pick up the pieces.
