"it ain't 27th and Gerard, but i'll be alright"
the scene at the beginning with the ABC boardroom with the woman with the crystal ball, was funny. she was using the ball to help them find david addison. what made this even funnier, was when they decided to recast the role of david addison. all the men in auditions was great. but when they showed the line of men in the hallway, all dressed up like dave from previous episodes...now that was hilarious. you had to have been watching this show from the beginning to have gotten the full effect of the visual images here. one thing i love about this show is the creativy of the writing. who else is going to turn a chain gang into a moment from Rogers and Hammerstein?? that musical number was funny, well choreographed, as well as inventive. great lyrics to the song. dave always finds himself in the wrong place. he tries to escape to call maddie. and stumbles onto an illegal license tag scheme run buy one of the guards. after talking with the warden, the warden figures it all out. scott hunley is arrested and dave is released. rating: 7.5 |

One of my all-time favorites! In my Top 10 easy. I remember watching when this originally aired, having to wait a week to see Part II - man that was like the longest week, I couldn't wait
Hey Bobby! I can't comment on the other episodes you've posted because I can't find all my ML tapes & it's been forever since I've seen most of the episodes lol When the DVDs start coming out - then I can add my 10 cents to your episode summaries. By then you'll have posted summaries of every episode

Gotta love that Gilbert Sullivan musical number in the prison rock pile. Hilarious!!!
And David's resolve in this in trying to get out and get to Maddie is compelling. That speech he gives his bunkmate Arnie about the things that matter in life is inspired. Go DAVE! |

My favorite parts in Part II are the beginning and the end. Trying to cast a new David Addison is hysterical. (Notice Bruce Willis in the bunch!) Then I do like David saying that Maddie is "essential." At least, I think that's in Part II. It all kind of runs together for me. Then skip to the end when David's home, packing and listening to Maddie (twice!) saying "I love you" on his answering machine. Then we wait a few more episodes to see them together again.

Love it, love it, love it! I really enjoyed "Part II."
The casting of the new Dave was awesome, and the musical number is one of my clearest Moonlighting memories. As you said, Bobby, what other show would do something like that? Only ML.
