Default What 3rd season episode was Freddie Prinze last appearance?

The editor of the CATM episode guide on tvtome.com is doing a horrible job and i just need to know this so that i will purchase the right episode. So does anyone know what was the last episode Freddie appeared in during the 3rd season?

From what I've read, the very last show that Freddie appeared in was Ed Talks To God. The show was about Ed celebrating his birthday and an old friend coming to visit him. Chico comes up with a plan to have God talk back to Ed since Ed was always talking to Him. It was a cute little show, but it's pretty sad to watch it.

Default You're right Dani....

from what I've read, that was the last show. And you're also right about the sad part too.

For myself i think what is so sad about that episode is that in it, Chico and Della are trying to convince Ed that birthday's are wonderful and that every day of life is wonderful and should be celebrated, as Della put it, 'Ed you have a gift not given to Many, the gift of years.'
and i think it's so sad that Freddie couldn't get the help he needed soon enough to realize how true that is.
Just my thoughts on that particular episode.

The whole situation was not handled the best way possible. Since he passed away while the show was still taping, the shows he had finished aired right after his death. Then they had it set up so that Chico was in Mexico with his father, something he wouldn't do when his father was actually on the show. That finished out the season, but then the next season started with Ed and Louie going on a fishing trip to Mexico and discovering a stowaway in the trunk of the car they were in. Since he was an orphan named Raul, Ed adopted him and Chico was really not even mentioned again until several shows into the season. Finally Ed had to tell Raul about Chico and he said that he had died. That was really all that was said about Chico and he wasn't mentioned again.

I remember that show.....I think it was the last time I watched....I just couldnt anymore..... Jack was so sad.... You could see it in his eyes... His heart just wasnt in it anymore.... and when he said Chico died....... I think thats when he finally gave up on the show too.

yes the show wasn't the same after that, it might have stood a better chance had they dealt honestly with the circumstances. I feel for the poor kid who had to try and fill the shoes of the enormously multi talented Freddie, his career didn't get the fair shot he might have had if he had gotten a different role...don't you think?

I definately agree...Raul was cute....but he never had a chance working in the shadow of Freddie... and I would be willing to bet he was probably looked at as the second chico from CATM ... which surely overshadowed his career.

I watched the Raul eps but hated how they didn't tell how Chico died. Raul was a cute & precocious kid but it wasn't the same...
