Hey, I got this idea from another message board ([Iidolforums.com[/I]) and I thought it might be fun here. WE'll write a story. Together. I'll start it, and then you guys conitnue it. A scene, a paragraph, however much you want. It doesn't matter. Here's the beginning....

Ashlee Simpson's newest single blared through the speakers, so loud that Janet could hear every word, every syllable prefectly, even though she was sitting on the balcony, the door closed. She was at her sister's house in Indiana, and right now her 16 year ol niece was throwing a huge blowout, what Jen privately dubbed her semi - annual 'to hell with parents' party. Janet sighed, tears spiiling down her cheeks, the lyrics seeming to taunt her. "Ohhhh/ it seems like I can finally rest my head on something real / I like the way that feels..." The moment she had learned the devestating news, she had picked up her things and ran. And now, two hours later, she was thousands of miles away from California, from her problems. But that didn't make it any better. She still had no idea what to do. She placed her hand on her now-flat stomach where a smal life was growing, sighing heavily. As the result of one night of drunken passion that both of them had regretted ever since then, she was pregnant. With Jack's baby. And she had no idea how he'd react.

Jack woke up in his bed the next day. Groggy, he turned over to see his alarm clock. 12:21 P.M. it said. "I wonder why Janet didn't wake me up", he wondered, she always does." With Chrissy away in Fresno visiting her family for Thanksgiving, Jack and Janet had been spending more time together than ever. Their schedule consisted of going out to lunch and dinner, staying up late cuddling together even though they both had work the next day, and just talking. "Something isn't right," Jack thought. Then he remembered. Him and Janet went out last night, to the Regal Beagle. He remembered he was paying for everything they ordered, including the drinks. But then he suddenly forgot what happened after that. Trying to remember, he got out of bed and walked to Janet's room, and knocked. Nooone answered. "Janet, I need to ask you something," Jack said as he slowly opened the door. Janet wasn't inside, and it looked like she had left Apartment 201.

Her hand was shaking as Janet once again slammed down the telephone, but now tears were streaming down her cheeks. Now I know I'm pregnant. Either that, or I'm going emotionally insane. She had tried unsucessfullt to call Jack for the last half hour, but had always chickened out after the sixth digit. Sisters were wonderful things. Jen had wisely chose to take her daughters shopping with their friends, leaving Janet to face her demons alone. She knew she had to call. Jack must be so worried about her. Taking a deep breath, she let it ring and Jack's concerned voice tore her heart apart.

"Where are you?" were the first words out of his mouth. "Baby, are you okay?"

Her knuckles were white from gripping the reciever so tightly. "Jack, um, there's really something I need to tell you...."

Janet looks at her watch "8:30am, Jack's probably up now, looking for me. I guess I should go back and tell him how I'm feeling." She makes her way back home. Meanwhile, Jack is searching franticly. "Where could she be?! She wouldn't just leave without telling me first!" He calls the police, but they cannot help him until Janet has been missing for 24 hours. He sits on the couch and cries, praying that he will hear from her soon. Later, Janet arrives. "Oh Janet! You're alright! I was so worried!"
He runs up to hug her, but sees that she's upset and decides against it. "What's wrong Janet?" "Jack, We need to talk." They sit on the couch together.

ok, i'm not going to continue the story because i couldn't write to save my life.

but i want to ask you that jack didn't find out about the child till he was like 3, i would like him to suspect it first. i mean i would like the child to act silly like him and look a little like him.

She sighed, dreading the words that she was about to say. "Jack...um...do you remeber what we did a couple of nights ago?"

"Not really," he responded uneasily, not quite sure he was liking where this conversation was headed. "What's wrong? Just tell me, 'cause I've got to be honest, you're really scaring me."

Janet took a deep breath. "We had a little - a lot - too much to drink, and I kissed you. You kissed me back, and, well, to make a long and embarrasing story short, we had sex. A couple of days ago, my period was late, so I took a test. I'm pregnant, Jack. And it's yours."

Anyways..

"When?" "How?" When Janet didn't respond to the how question, he knew that was a stupid question to ask. "Janet, are you sure you're pregnant?" Jack asked. After Janet said her baby was his, a million thoughts went through his head. Yeah, he wanted to be a father, but not now. And with Chrissy coming back in a few days, how was she going to react? And would Janet keep the baby?

"Yes, I'm sure," Janet whispered, tears once again brimming in her eyes. "I know this isn't what you wanted. I'm sorry."

Jack's voice was gentle yet firm. "All right, Janet, listen to me, honey. 'Sorry' does not enter into this equation, okay? Making a baby takes two people, and I promise you that throughout this pregnanacy will involve two people. For the next nine months and years after, I'll be there for you, okay? Whatever you want. Just come home. We've got a few days before Chrissy is due back, and we can use the couple of days to figure out what we're going to do."

"Thank you," she murmured softly. "I needed that. I'm really scared, Jack."

"I know, sweetheart. It scares me, too. Just, please, come home to me. I just want to hold you and be there for absolutely everything." He was about to hang up the phone, but thought of one more thing he needed to say. His voice was so low Janet wasn't quite sure she'd heard him correctly, but she knew it had been said. "I love you. I love you both."

The moment Janet opened the door to the apartment, Jack's outstretched arms were waiting for her. She ran to him, clinging tightly to his shirt, tears pooling in her eyes. He kissed her lips softly, though they lingered a little longer than usual. "So...there's a baby in there."

She nodded, smiling in spite of herself as he placed his hand on her stomach. "That's what the doctor said."

Jack sighed, pulling back slightly, his arms still securly wrapped around her. He touched her cheek softly. "We're going to have a baby."

"I know," Janet replied, her eyes shining with pride and unshed tears. "My parents are going to so hate me."

"No, they won't," he assured her. "I won't let them. I'm always going to protect you, Janet. You and our child are the two most important people in my life now."

"Thank you for being so wonderful," she murmured. "It really helps."

"How do you feel?"

Janet laughed softly. "Icky. But it's a good 'icky', you know? I can definently put up with the nausea. We're going to have a baby!" She snuggled deeper into his embrace, thankful beyond belief for this guy. "This may sound weird, but if I were to have a drunken night with anyone and have it end up like this, I'm glad it was you."

Jack kissed her on the forehead. "I'm glad it was you, too."

"What are we going to tell Chrissy? And Larry? And - oh,God - the Ropers?"

"We'll figure it out. We'll figure everything out. Just don't stress out, cause I read somewhere once that it isn't good."

She glanced at him in amazement. "You're really going to stick around, aren't you? You're not going to walk out on me later on."

"Never," he promised, hugging her fiercely. "Never, ever. I'll always be here whenever you need me."

"Aww hon, that's so sweet of you, I really appreciate this," Janet replied softly. And she really did. She loved Jack, and it wasn't love like brother and sister love, it was real love. She wasn't sure how Jack felt about her, so she wasn't going to say anything. She was so stressed out, but just being in Jack's arms made everything go away.
"I wonder if it'll be a girl or a boy," Jack replied, interrupting her thoughts. "I hope it's a girl, I've always wanted a girl," Janet replied. When Jack didn't say anything, she asked what was wrong.
"Do you think I'll be a good father?" Jack blurted out. "I mean, I want a baby, you know I do, but will I do a good job?" "Janet, you were born to be a mother, you can see that, but I'm not sure how it will be with me."
"Oh Jack, you'll be great!" Janet exclaimed. "Why are you even worrying about this, you're funny, sweet, honest, responsible, and pretty cute if I might add." Janet giggled when she said that last line.
"Aww Janet, thank you so much, I'll do the best I can at this, I just want to make you happy." And he meant that with all his heart. He loved Janet more than anything else in the world and he was going to be commited to her and their new baby, no matter what it took. He then hugged her and gave her a kiss, and surprisingly, he enjoyed it.
