Default Sitcoms on DVD That You Are Surprised Came Out So Soon

For me, and I have nothing against these shows. I'm just surprised they came out (or are coming out) so soon.

The Jeff Foxworthy Show (Season 1) - Now that I've seen the show, it's not too bad. However, I didn't think it was popular enough to get released. I guess they just wanted to release a DVD with Jeff Foxworthy and went with his 90's sitcom.

Saved by the Bell: The College Years (Season 1) - I like this show, but never pictured myself owning it on DVD.

My Big Fat Greek Life (Complete Series) - Come on. It only lasted 7 episodes, was low rated. Critics hated it. But gosh darnet, release it on DVD!

Punky Brewster (Season 1) - I liked it as a kid now it's just silly. However, I never thought they'd release it on DVD.

The Joey Bishop Show (Season 2) - I like this show, but was surprised to learn it was coming to DVD. Pleasantly surprised.

Greg the Bunny (Entire Series) - FOX is stupid. They cancel a show and then release it on DVD. And they do it to the show I didn't watch. Why couldn't that be Andy Richter Controls the Universe? The two shows were on at the same time!

For me, I just expected these shows to come out on DVD way late ... being underrated as they are:

My Favorite Martian
Mister Ed
Mork and Mindy
Here's Lucy
ALF
Green Acres

I own it! And I'm happy. I'll be happier when it actually gets here though.

I'd say My Big Fat Greek Life. Why they even released it is beyond me.

I was shocked when Jeff Foxywrothy came out on DVD, it was a show I liked, but never pictured it released, maybe because it changed so much in its two year run....

well, the movie was a huge seller on DVD, I think they assumed a lot of the people who bought the movie will buy the series to put right next to it on the shelf.

I agree. The movie had a few funny moments, but they hyped it up like it was soooo funny.

with OC, I think they're doing a 24/Alias style thing with it on DVD (One Tree Hill season 1 is coming soon too).

It's a soap opera, one where you really need to be caught up in everything that goes on, so I think rushing season 1 out right before season 2 premieres is a way they figure more fans who missed out on early episodes will become hooked.

The same could be said for Arrested Development. (which Im sure will have DVD sales almost as high as the ratings)
