Default New Fan

Hello all! New fan here! I just recently started college and we have the Lifetime Network (I didn't used to have extended cable) and I was flipping through the channels one day and I saw The Nanny. It's not the first time I have seen it (I've seen a few of the earlier episodes a while ago), but for the first time I am really interested in it. I have come to really love the show and I can't wait to watch them all. One question though, did they switch the lady who played Miss. Babcock? (is that her name??) She looks different....like she's younger...?? Maybe not...I've only seen a a handful of episodes and most of them it's been a while. LOL

Welcome to The Nanny messageboards!

I'm Danielle, otherwise known as Dani, Danni, or Dannie.

To answer your question, C.C. Babcock has always been played by Lauren Lane... her appearence just changed a lot.

Isn't it ironic?
Don't you think?

I think part of the reason C.C.'s appearance seemed to change so much was that in season 5, Lauren Lane was pregnant (In real life, not on the show! LOL!). Even though it wasn't written in, it's totally obvious that she's gained weight and everything. I think that's why the writers sent her off to "the place," because it was just getting too obvious! hehe

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, maybe it was the whole pregnancy and the way her appearance changed...maybe after I watch more episodes I will see her change over time instead of all at once LOL

I'm looking forward to the reunion as well. Is it going to be a movie or just a sit-down and talk type of thing?

It's just a "sit down and talk" type of thing. Lifetime did a similar thing for The Golden Girls last year. It was very successful, which is no doubt why they're doing this one. Charles Shaughnessy has some pictures from the taping in a slideshow on his site. The address is http://www.charlesshaughnessy.com.

I know! Charlie still looks amazing! *Sigh* lol. Most of the cast members, if I ran into them today, I'd recognize them in a heartbeat. They've all aged well.

Seeing those pics just makes me want Dec. 6 to hurry up and get here already! lol

Is Niles not in the reunion, or did I miss his picture? Can someone tell me what he's wearing.

Unfortunately, you did not miss him. Daniel Davis is currently doing a play in New York (The Frogs, I think it's called) and he wasn't able to participate. Yeah, it definitely sucks that he won't be there, esp. if you're a Niles/C.C. fan. I'm more of a Fran/Max person, but I know I'll miss him anyway lol.

Aww...that's sad. But it's great he's still acting. He had a lot of great comebacks.

I was a Fran/Max fan too...but I think it's cute how Niles and C.C. ended up together. (well, I haven't seen the last couple episodes, but I saw Maggie's wedding and they were together there)
