Old Case- Results? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I haven't logged into these boards in a long time, but I was hoping someone knew the particulars on this case or could send me to a site. It's been a long time since I've seen the case so I don't recall the names, but it involved a young man who vanished from near his home in one state and a young lady who vanished from a barbecue in another state. In a third location, a concerned by-stander turned in a photo of the two kids bound and gagged together and turned it in to the police. When, "Missing Reward" starring Stack Keach ran this case, they mentioned that an identical truck had been seen at the time of both disappearances: a fact that "Unsolved Mysteries" had held back. I would really like to see a resolution to this case because it is the most memorable I have from the series.

I think you may be confusing two or more cases. The woman in the picture of the boy and female bound in the back of a vehicle is thought by many to be Tara Calico. There are threads on this website about the theory, and you can google her name to read more about it. Tara was, I believe, abducted while riding her bicycle, not at a barbecue. She has yet to be located. I've heard several conflicting things about the boy in the photo.
